Clock at Cressington station. Opened in March 1873, this was on the CLC (Cheshire Lines Committee) main line to Manchester (and probably Southport) until April 1972, when, along with the Gateacre line, it was closed.
Since 1978, however, it has been part of the Merseyrail network and is the only station I know of (on the Southport line) to still have its stationmaster's house.

Square The clock
Archaeological excavations have proved that here was the location of the forum Avenio . The memory of the center of the ancient city survived all during the Middle Ages as the medieval streets were all the doors of the old wall of the twelfth and thirteenth century to the square. It was then "Place du Mazel" which settled the macelliers (butchers) market days. It was partly occupied by the Benedictine convent of Saint-Laurent, the oldest of the city.
The first public clock and jacquemart were installed on the tower of the former livery of Albano, the new headquarters of the City Hall, in 1471 .New demolitions were made during 1498 to clear the place that had then taken the name "instead of relocated" .
But the 1618 plan, drawn up by Marco Antonio Gandolfo, mathematician Palermo and engraved by Theodore Hoochstraten, The Hague, "The Square" still had some very small dimensions . In 1674, the consuls decided to further expansion having noted that the carriages great difficulty in passing it. It was followed this municipal ordinance in 1682, following the plancs by Pierre Mignard.
But it was far from enough. In the middle of the eighteenth century, Jean-Baptiste Frankish pitched in turn plans to enlarge the Place in which it provided, on both sides, symmetrical facades. Work began then was abandoned on the orders of the consuls in 1754 .
They resumed in 1791 . The project for March is Pr0JCL0C, a simple timer to help me keep track of time spent on a project (it's also a clock). The Green button starts timing, the Red button stops. Session times are added to a running total which is stored in the Arduino's EEPROM. I implemented simple wear levelling to preserve the EEPROM.
This is not about seeing how fast I can do something but curiosity about how long some of these projects take. Often I'll go into the den and emerge several hours later. And then do it again the next night. Occasionally I take rough notes about session times but I thought it would be fun to make it easier to do.

The problem with clock is, once you got two they start to multiply..
It all started when I acquired my first clock a 1960's jap 7-day wall clock from a colleague of mine by the name of Wong Mun Lai, a clock collector

It was a non-working clock which I wanted to hang up for display. After a while, I felt something amiss. A clock is not a clock if it does'nt work! So I took it apart and do some fixing, to my surprise I managed to get it ticking again ! I was totally fascinated From there I got my second, third and so on....
My favourite has to be the 400 day clock

In one of his recent "Ask the Pilot" columns, Patrick Smith quoted a reader email complaining about a lack of clocks in airports ("With very few hidden and randomly placed exceptions, there are no clocks") and Smith himself says "[reader] is right, you don't see clocks in airports."
Neither hidden nor randomly placed: Lambert-St. Louis Airport has had this sign treatment since at least the early 1980s -- I remember it from when I was changing planes here on Ozark Airlines, and perhaps you can tell it's been around that long because of the "trendy" lower-case lettering. These "central time" clocks appear every few signs along the corridor. (If I'd been in a place with a longer straightaway, I could have gotten several clocks in the photo at once.)
