Another look at this beautiful chapel ceiling. As the sun and clouds play above the stained glass the light and colors change, adding a presence to the space.

How to photograph the Marshall field clock?
Iconic landmarks, the clocks were designed by the firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst and White, for the store's architect D.H. Burnham.
Each clock is made of 7¾ tons of cast bronze.
The face of the clock is 46" across, the minute hand is 27" and the hour hand is 20½" long. The clock is impulse operated from a master timepiece located in the store. The timepiece is checked twice daily with the Arlington time signal and corrects the clocks every hour.
Photographed over the century countless times, I wanted to present it not as a clock, but as part of the history of our city. Melding it into the city-scape as a face in the crowd.
The clock you see was installed at State and Washington in 1907 and as time moves "One Way" - second by second, minute by minute it is suddenly 2023.
I love how that "one way" sign becomes crucial in the narrative and an anchor for the deep perspective.

9月になった。はやっ。
毎日暑い。しかも今週末台風がすごいっぽい？！？

劇落ちした体力を戻すべく、運動を始めております。
最初10分も持ちませんでしたが、
なんとか30分動けるように。

Clock tower the symbol of Izmir is in Konak Square - the heart of the city. It was built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Abduhamit II's accession to the throne.

St Nicholas church found at Bristol Bridge is a curfew clock and at 9pm would sound 14 times to tell the occupiers living on Bristol bridge to empty their sewage into the river and douse all fires. it is also one of the few church clocks that has an insert seconds dial
A dial test indicator consists of a gauge; on the gauge is a pin level mounted on a spring. When the pin contacts a surface, pressure forces the pin lever up, causing the dial gauge to move. Numbers marked on the perimeter of the dial test indicator display the amount of pressure applied to the pin lever.
