The Clock Tower, Belfast Gas Works.

Origin: France. Circa: 1870-90. Period: 19th Century. Very attractive seven day Morbier clock in a polychrome painted pine case from the east of France. Chimes on the hour and two minutes after and on the half. The sound is a bronze bell. Great quality. Excellent Condition retaining its original glass. Movement professionally cleaned and in working order. Keeps a good time but not a digital clock. One accident at the VII in the enamel face. Height: 92, Width: 18, Depth: 8. Shop@ The HighBoy.

Barkers beautiful clock marks the entrance to the Barkers Arcade and their prestigious Department Store. I think another visit will be required to photograph the intriguing frieze depicted under the three faces of the clock
