NS 5113 leads todays train with it screaming in notch 8. 5113 as been on the NPBL for 4 year now and has been going strong.

NS 234 goes on the Y switch at portlock yard with quite the consist of two Canadian visitor and the Lehigh Valley heritage unit leading. Had to wake up at 5 in the Moring for this train is it was 100% worth it, probably one of the best train I've ever caught.

York Races - Wednesday 17th August 2022

We have made a pitstop in Minnesota for some yard activities with BNSF in their Northtown. Warbonnet 626 was one of the yard of jobs I was able to capture and I’m very happy with the results.

A coal train crawls down into Fulton yard at Rivanna Junctionwith with a set of DPU on the rear. Just got done eating at a restaurant and looked up and saw the coal train parked on the bridge, had to run to the parking garages for my shot.

Tuesday, January 7 2020 McKenzie section of Galloping Goose Trail is still open. No work being done. No detours.

CSX tier 4 sits in the front of the NPBL Berkeley yard on a very windy day. This was one of my first times ever driving to a spot with me just getting my licenses, such a good feeling :) It also would start snowing a little bit which add to the shot to me, even if its barely there. It rarely snow in the area so i take what i can get.

NS 212 crossing Thicketty Creek (milepost 438.0) at Thicketty, SC

CSX G958 crosses over the NPBL drawbridge in enters Portsmouth with CSX 3359 leading.

NS 228 backs in with its trains into Portlock at the NS junction field. I’ve always wanted to catch trains in the snow and this was my first time doing so. I’m super happy with this catches and shots, everything went perfectly and I couldn’t be happier.

Making a pitstop in Laurel, Montana, we find BNSF 2806 switching out the Westend of the yard with very blue sky’s to boot. Was my first time seeing a BN unit in action and was definitely something to take in. Was even better to see a old GP30 in action

Loads of NS power looks out at south yard in Roanoke Virginia.

This shot is really is something to me, ill never forgot how much of a fun time i had when i went to Roanoke just watching train after train. Really cool seeing a bunch of C6M, DC, ET, ACe, and ACC all bunch together.

Here is the NPBL power sitting in front of the Berkeley yard. it had just storm a couple hours ago and some puddles left over and i took full advantage of it.

The local slug set at Lamberts point push back some loaded coal car with NS #3100 leading in downtown Norfolk.

After we left 562 behind we headed back to Akron in search of 291. We found him at the west end of Brittain Yard getting warrant to head west. We set up for shot just a few miles away and when he didn't arrive shortly we back tracked and found them setting out some lumber loads at this facility in Akron just as the sun set making for a great shot of 7016 with ex BNSF unit buried behind. Interestingly in order to spot these cars they had to make a run around move, something that probably rarely happens on class1 mainline freights.

The conductor of this passing mixed freight waves to three girls who were just swimming in the creek.

a 233 power move comes throught park ave out of lambets point and heads straight to portlock rd with 8 motors to leave on 223, 227, and 22A

Coming back to my roots for a bit, here we have a nice simple cab shot of NPBL 5260 tied down while NS 5113 works Berkeley yard. The crew was very friendly with the waves and horn shows. I actually was there when they got off the shift and I had a very nice chat with them.

I apologize for the lack of post, School has been weighing me down and its pretty difficult to get out by the rails these days. I have been getting out but just not happy with the shots I've been getting, but for now take this lovely picture of my regional short line.

NS 273 comes through Crewe with a very horn happy engineer in the cab. Nice to see and very worn and beat H2 dash 9 as well.

Black n White because why not? This will be something people would dream to see 40 years from now.

A pair of CSX AC44's sits in the middle of Berkeley yard in South Norfolk. Crew ran out of time to park the power and had to have the NPBL crews park them.
