CNAMPEK winding into Peoria on the BNSF Peoria Sub alongside the UP Peoria Sub.

After a delay thanks to idiot kids trespassing around CP West Lang, Eastbound Intermodal 26E arrives at CP John at the west end of Morrisville Yard with a colorful lash-up. Also - I agree with the sentiment left behind the cab, and whoever did that should get employee of the month!

One of the very few remaining coal trains on the Western Transcon making its way East towards Belen. This train came from the Springerville, Arizona, Generating Station.

LPJ05 doing its drift busting thing near Rollo somewhere.

While out visiting family in Albuquerque I decided to head out towards Laguna one morning to get a taste of the Western Transcon. My first train was a train bound for my home subdivision and the area that I live in Illinois.

... Or she'll too turn you to stone. An iconic and classy fixture along BNSF's Chicago Sub, the early 20th century, CB&Q erected stone arches of Metra's La Grange-Stone Ave station stand with prominence as they compose themselves alongside the passage of one of the many daily train movements that grace the rails of this busy triple-tracked passenger and freight artery nicknamed the "Racetrack." A Sunday H BRCKCK1 11A, otherwise referred to as the "Brick Kick," 92-cars of junk freight from the Belt at Clearing, slips and slides westward past the empty weekend platform with a wet, 5700 foot of train for Kansas City-Argentine as on-going bouts of precipitation fall from the dreary skies above, heavily dampening the Chicagoland 'burbs. Leaving the BRC behind at Cicero for home rails, the train has about 24 miles yet to travel before it splits at Aurora and turns down the Mendota Sub for its run to Galesburg.

Two freights pass the Swatara station. Built in October of 1921, this station turns 100 years old the month of this photo.

The freight on the left is a Westbound intermodal while the one on the right is the Hershey Shifter making a shove move East.

UP 723 making its trip back to its home base of Bloomington after making a run to the Northern part of the GM&O to serve a couple industries.

CP 148 for Chicago heading through the Thompson Canyon with a royal SD70ACU doing the honors. I was told by a local that it is not often they let the SD70ACUs lead through the canyons. Pure luck to get a SD70ACU out here on my one day I had to Railfan the area, let alone a royal paint. I couldn't have asked for a better leader to chase out here.

The CN Ewen Job making its way through downtown New Westminster in Vancouver on the LuLu Island Sub. This job came from the CN Thornton Yard and is on its way to the Ewen Industrial Park in South Richmond.

Two photos, taken 10 years apart on my garden railroad.

In the top image, we see a Reading Railroad coal train with an ABBA set of ALCOs on the point of a coal train consisting of a long string of 2-bay hoppers. In the bottom image, an NS high hood SD40-2 is leading a string of modern RBMN 100T and Bethgons.

NS 4554 leading a plethora of power out of Mullens Tunnel with an empty coal train on the KNWA. The KNWA SD60s were along for the ride behind the NS GEs. This area was a great time as I visited for the first time. There is such history and beautiful scenery.

VPTSBLU in its final stretch from Portland to Blue Island with a H1 duo.

An NS mixed freight works its way through the Pennsylvania fall foliage.

A NS GP60 leading 3 road units on an ethanol train to Marquis Energy in Hennepin after a large snow in Central Illinois. The drifts between McNabb and Granville on the line were massive.

It is beginning to look a lot like Fall in Central Illinois. The fields are turning brown, and the sun is setting sooner.

One of BNSF's AC4400s is seen here leading VBLUFTM across the Santa Fe through the numerous farm fields that line the BNSF right of way.

NS 234 heads through Portlock yard with the Lehigh Valley leading two Canadian visitors trailing.

NS 4218 leads a empty hopper train through Downtown Roanoke at a very slow speed.

The conductor on this helper unit looks back at the tracks around the famous Horseshoe Curve.

After a delay to idiot teenage trespassers, 26E finally rounds the curve near MV5 on the Morrisville Line.

With the virus paranoia, this is trains are really the only thing I ever look forward to in life.

In this pic of my 1:32 scale NS OCS locos I'm testing a new bridge to be installed on my railroad later this month. This is just a beta test of the alignment of the track and the new abutments.
