Preserved British Rail Class 02 diesel-hydraulic shunter D2868 returning to Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre in Derbyshire. The locomotive was built in 1961 by the Yorkshire Engine Company (Works No. 2851), but withdrawn after less than a decade of BR service.

British Rail Class 47 or Brush Type 4 No. 47105 eases into Winchcombe station wearing a “Pathfinder Railtours 50 Years” headboard during Gloucestershire Warwickshire heritage railway’s 2026 Diesel Gala on 26 July.
British Rail Class 37 diesel-electric locomotive No. 37607 in Swietelsky livery stabled at the Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre near Chesterfield.
Built in 1962 by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry, the loco entered service as D6803 and renumbered 37103 in 1974. It was renumbered to 37511 in 1986 and named “Stockton Haulage”. It wasgiven its current number 37607 in 1994.

This Class 114 Derby Heavyweight 2-car DMU with DMBS 53022 leading was recorded at Melton Mowbray in August 1986 while working the BR Table 18 11:54 Leicester to Peterborough service.

Having been on the rear of a Doncaster C.H.S. - Newcastle Central - Doncaster C.H.S. Network Rail Test Train for the first leg of its journey north Class 37 37418 is pictured on Platform 2 at Newcastle Central at the head for the return trip with Class 37 37175 now bringing up the rear.
Class 506 M59608M waits to depart from platform 4 at Manchester Piccadilly with the 15.00 service to Hadfield on Tues 8th November 1983

A inizio autunno, complice l'Oktoberfest, feci un sato nel paradiso dei diesel, ovvero tra e Burghausen. Purtroppo non feci molte foto. Una di queste ritrae il passaggio di un pesante completo di cisterne, proveniente dalla Wackerwerk di Burghausen.

20142 was a deputy to work the tail of last Saturdays Bahamas Welsh Marches tour. Seemingly 47773 required some bodywork attention so was stood down.
Bahamas had drawn the special back into the station at Hereford and created a reasonable smokescreen. 20142 has just come to a rest and it was now time for me to make haste and return to the train before its late departure for Dorridge.
I must admit I do like the pseudo London Transport livery applied to the 20.
