British Rail Class 745 25kV 12 car Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) 745004 working the non stopping 1P21 08:30 (09:34 RT) Norwich- London Liverpool Street 'Greater Anglia' service train southbound at Marks Tey Station on the Great Eastern Main Line in the County of Essex (UK).
The Class 745 EMU's were a direct replacement in early 2020 for the ageing 30 year old plus Class 90 electric locomotives and their slam door British Rail Mk3b coaches which previously worked the Norwich- London Liverpool Street express services.
745004 was built by Stadler Rail at their facility in Bussnang Switzerland as one of the Stadler 'FLIRT' (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) modular family of trainsets.
Note the Dellner type coupling system in the big ugly hole at the front of the trains. The Dellner coupling is a version of the Scharfenberg coupler which connects pneumatics and electronics at the same point of contact.
Greater Anglia had an option to have a cover fitted in these coupling holes by Stadler but declined for cost and ease of maintenance reasons.

We are teaching a new maker art class called ‘Robot World’, to help 4th and 5th graders create their own artistic robot. This after-school class is taking place in fall 2017 at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Students are learning how to make their bots move in a variety of ways, as well as play sounds and light up, using a programmable Arduino board.
This photo set covers the first half of our 12-part course, when students get to build their robots. Each student received their own robot kit, which they learned to assemble, control and program. They first built a chassis, then wired up the electronics, assembled a remote control, then added a head and arms, with servo motors to make them move.
We then laser cut wooden figures and body parts based on their designs, which included a police bot, a swat bot, a devil bot and a chef bot. Once their bots are designed and assembled, they will learn how to program them and make them move in different ways, then decorate them, give them a story, and present a robot show to their friends and families in December.
For this course, my partner Edward Janne and I created our own robot kit, using an Arduino Feather M0 for the robot, an RF remote, a custom chassis, plus three additional servos and more parts. Our robot kit is similar to commercial products, but with a lot more features, at a lower cost. It was a lot of work, but we’re very happy with the final results, and our students seemed to really enjoy the class. We hope this will encourage other teachers, students and makers to create their own animated characters, for art and technology’s sake.

Vans Warped Tour @ Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati Ohio. This was my very first year shooting Warped and I was stoked. It was extra hot, yet super fun. I had a blast shooting all the bands I shot, saw some really awesome sets and got to see alot of my friends there. Over all it was an awesome day! Second time seeing GCH, they kill it everytime.

Technology & Combat Characteristics
Since the Archangel-class assault ship is based upon Orb's Izumo-class battleship, the weaponry of both classes is nearly the same, although, as a whole, the Archangel-class carries more weaponry than the Izumo-class. The armament features positron blaster cannons, beam guns, CIWS, linear cannons and several missile launchers, making the class more powerfully armed than either the Nelson-class battleship or Agamemnon-class carrier. Its only equals are the Girty Lue and LHM-BB01 Minerva. The true power of the Archangel-class is however hidden in the ship's cavernous hangar bay: it supplies room for up to at least eight Mobile Suits or Mobile Armors. Combined with the G Project prototypes, theArchangel was intended to be very nearly invincible. In operations, she was intended to hold the GAT-X102 Duel and GAT-X103 Buster, Lieutenant Mu La Flaga's TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero mobile armor, and two TS-MA2 Moebius mobile armors back for defense while the GAT-X105 Strike, GAT-X303 Aegis, and GAT-X207 Blitz took the battle to the enemy.
Armaments
"Lohengrin" Positron Blaster Cannon
The most powerful weapon of the Archangel-class are two "Lohengrin" positron blaster guns (literally "Knight of Swan", named after Richard Wagner's opera of the same name), which are retractable and mounted inside the two front "legs" of the ship, directly below the hangars.
"Gottfried Mk.71" 225cm High-Energy Beam Cannons
The only other beam weapons carried by Archangel-class ships are two "Gottfried Mk.71" 225cm high-energy beam cannons, which, like the ones of the Izumo-class ships, can move into several positions. As with the positron gun the beam guns are retractable and mounted on top of the two "legs", thus providing defense capabilities while mobile suits are launched.
"Igelstellung" 75mm Automatic Multi-Barrel CIWS
The Archangel is armed with an array of 16 "Igelstellung 75mm automatic multi-barrel CIWS guns that are calibrated exceptionally well to intercept incoming missiles or lightly armored Mobile Weapons. Like the "Gottfried" beam cannons, the CIWS guns are movable to shoot down targets from several directions.
"Valiant Mk.8" 110cm Linear Cannon
Each side of the ship mounts a single "Valiant Mk.8" 110cm linear cannon, which, like the positron and beam cannons are retractable. It could also operate underwater after the Archangel was altered and proved to be exceptional against underwater MS and submarines.
Missile Launchers
Besides energy guns and shell-firing weapons, Archangel-class ships are also equipped with a large number of missile launchers, divided into 24 x surface-to-ship missile launchers and 16 x surface-to-air missile launchers. These launchers allow the Archangel-class to fire a large number of different missile types.
Bridge Tower Missile Launchers
The lighter missiles, such as "Helldart" anti-aircraft missiles are loaded into and stored on tubes on the bridge tower. The light Helldart missiles are primarily used as their classification suggests, in an anti-air role, however they are generally ineffective at damaging targets with phase-shift armor.
Aft Missile Launchers
The stern of the Archangel-class houses two sections that project backwards directly behind its dorsal wings and directly above its engines. These launchers house the heavier missile classes, Sledgehammer anti-ship missiles and Corintoss and Wombat heavy anti-aircraft missiles. When deployed these missiles normally perform a 180° turn in a wide arc around the side of the ship and then forward towards their target.

As part of the Korean Language Classes at the KCC, students from the Beginner and Intermediate Classes took part in a Korean Noraebang Class. Details of the song were learnt in the classroom, before the second hour of the class saw students practising what they had learnt. In total 5 classes participated in this event throughout the day.
The Korean language course, the Sejong Institute, at the KCCUK, is a social education course that not only teaches the Korean language but also introduces Korean culture to students.
From 2011, the course has been reinvigorated and re-modeled so that it now includes a wider introduction to all aspects of Korean Culture. Although still catering for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced learners of Korean the course is very different to what has gone before. These three new courses focus upon and explore contemporary Korean Culture through the language with modules including, cuisine, music, fashion, movies, society and working in Korea to name but a few.
Upon completing the course students are able to express themselves in Korean on a vast range of topics.
All our courses are Free, kindly supported by the Sejong Institute.
1991, Saint Louis, MO; Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Class of 1941; Provided by Daniel Jackson (center), with the following comment: "Picture taken at social get-together of the reunion of the Class of '41 at a hotel in west St. Louis. I was disappointed that my roommates at the fraternity house did not attend. Inasmuch as I was not close to other members of my class, I felt let down. Yvette and I went to the fraternity house where I had stayed the four years of school, but I couldn't show her my rooms because the house had been taken over by the Berean Mission and visitors were limited to the first floor. One alumnus laughed as he told me that he had never practiced medicine. He had retired to Florida, invested in real estate, played golf every day."
