I did not go on a photography adventure, but just a plain old vacation with a bunch of friends. I couldn't help but lug the gear along minus the wildlife lens (which i could have used a few times). I did have some time to get creative with a few things like this waterfall. I was surprised they allowed me to bring in the tripod as it was not allowed at another more famous (yet no more beautiful) waterfall.
I spent more time goofing off and snapping pics of my friends goofing off, but I did bring home a few Flickr worthy shots.
A mid day shot from a Friday adventure with some friends in Sooke. Lovely blue skies for February!

The mountains that form the perimeter of Jostadals National Park reflect on the suddenly calm surface of the freshwater Lovatnet, as seen from above the town of Loen, Norway.
There is a remarkable gondola that whisks one airily to these lofty heights in exchange for the appropriate quantity of Norwegian Kroner (a few cables are visible in the lower-left of the frame). For those less enamored of exposure (or the exchange rate), there is also a long-ish, switchbacking double-track road that can be walked. Regardless of the route one takes to get here, it is clear why the tourists come flocking. On a clear day the view is quite simply breathtaking.
Unpublished Volume 1 - #2: Following on from yesterday's image of Dawlish Warren beach, here is an image of Mew Stone & Shooter Rock that I took last year. These small rocky islands are just down the coast from Dawlish Warren and in the right conditions, this location is great for place for some long exposure.
A morning view of Montreal (Canada) from the old port.
I've been waiting for colors to reach their peak to capture this beautiful view.

Meeting up with other photographers can change how you look at a location and that's exactly what happened to me when I met up with fellow photographer and YouTuber @gareth_danks I'd never really considered taking a vertical composition of the groynes at Dawlish Warren beach before, but watching Gareth compose his photographs opened up my mind to some new ideas! Thanks for having a look at my images.

I know Sunday is supposed to be the day for sliders but I was fooling around with Topaz and really like this painterly look.

My new (actually five years old but new to me) Honda CB500X. I've wanted a bike again for years but Mrs R has only just relented. Took it down to Cramond to get a first photo while the sun was shining this afternoon.
Ok I'm pretty chuffed with this image.
It's a pano of 5 RAW images that have been stitched. The shot of Ben(?) jumping has been PS'd into the final but he was exactly there so it looks all legit. I just needed to blend the background without him and then drop him in once Photomerge had done it's thing.
The colours in this shot are a lot more subtle than my usual style and I hope you enjoy the difference.
Along the way processing this shot the PS file got up to around 1 Gig!!
Catch the dawn - it's a call to action for all photographers ;-)
Thanks for helping this shot get explored! Up to #65 ;-)
- www.kevin-palmer.com - Öxarárfoss is a small waterfall in Þingvellir National Park (pronounced Thingvellir). Morning is the perfect time to look for rainbows in the mist if it's sunny.
This was a shot in obvious tough lighting but it was such a beautiful scene I took a shot anyway. It was harsh, mid-day sun on a cloudless day. This is a very remote, off-trail area deep in the High Sierra on a 9-day backpacking trip. It's one of the forks of Cartridge Creek before it plunges thousands of feet into the M.F. Kings River gorge. We rested here and refreshed ourselves at this shimmering emerald pool before heading back up over another high ridge. As for the photo, in order to expose the surrounding terrain, I had to put up with some blown-out whites in the creek. This area was especially beautiful and next time I'm hiking through here I will plan it to camp here and burn some film during some sweeter light.

For Lee
I'm proud of my little (big) brother who is pictured here.
He's had some horrible things to go through recently but he's come out the other side a much better, stronger person.
Anyone that can go through what he's been through and not turn into a bitter person is an inspiration to me.
Love you loads dude xx
Far from the angular texture of the familiar rock of the Bruce Peninsula, I found interest in the rounded forms of rock on the Lake Superior shore at Coldwater Cove
A pile of logs sit by the trail at Dunk River. They are stacked as if ready for winter, though I suspect these are unlikely to be used in a hearth.

A late winter storm piled up thick drifts of heavy snow and remnant clouds break up along the contours of the Flatirons near Boulder, Colorado. A number of enterprising souls have hiked to the top of Two Tree Hill toward the right of the frame and carved their descent into the slope.
I'm not sure if there are any actual natural waterfalls on Prince Edward Island. Given the preponderance of flattish landscapes occasionally set off by low rounded hills, my inclination is to say, "not really." However, this spot at the end of the Dunk River Nature Trail, despite being a manmade barrier, does indeed offer up a small low energy variation on the theme.
I bought a circular polarizer, and i am quite sattisfied with it! the skies on my landscape photos would not be overexposed anymore! (i hope so)

...on a Sunday boat trip from Lucerne to Brunnen, canton of Schwyz.
This panorama was taken on the way from Vitznau to Beckenried. On the waterside, in the center of the image, is Gersau, in the canton of Schwyz.

Well, today a crew of us went to some waterfalls, It was myself, Wes (Bamawester), Brandon (Bamacanon), Cecil (Cecil Holmes), and my Dad Steve (Nwbama), We first hit up Caney Creek Falls, then made our way on over to turkey foot and mize mill falls, then from there shot a couple of the falls around the sipsey picnic area, and finally found ourselves at kinlock falls!
As you can see by comparing this shot to a previous one in my stream (here) from Turkey Foot Falls, this is a TON of water! The first words out of my mouth as i began to see the falls was simply, "WOW!" It was an incredible sight! It was a beautiful, perfect, overcast day, for shooting! I believe we all got some fabulous results!! :) One hundred faves! :D

Been wanting to shoot these beach grassland dunes, so I went for it on this day because the position of the clouds in the sky and the lighting were well suited for the subject. It was really cold with nasty wind gusts, so drafting the camera was essential and was a big factor in this angle.

this was captured a few days after the big Blizzard storm of 2011 in Montrose Harbor in the north side of the city....this elderly man i noticed was just walking back and forth by the harbor and when he finally decided to sit and stare at the skyline, it provided me the opportunity to comp this shot...i really like the shadow cast by the light pole and the curve of the edge of the harbor seawall....pls.
