I tried many different exposures on this location and shockingly the decision on which one to make public came to this one. It is something with the long exposures that gives them the little extra compared with normal exposures. Big stopper & polarizer
We enjoyed a few lighthouses while on the central Oregon coast, this was my favorite.
"The Yaquina Head Lighthouse, also known early in its existence as the Cape Foulweather Lighthouse. It is located in Lincoln County, near the mouth of the Yaquina River near Newport. The tower stands 93 feet (28 m) tall, and is the tallest lighthouse in Oregon.
Made in Paris in 1868 and shipped to Oregon, Yaquina Head Light was first lit August 20, 1873, and automated in 1966. It is active with an identifying light characteristic of two seconds on, two seconds off, two seconds on, and 14 seconds off." Wikipedia

This what the Newlands Valley in the Lake District looks like in October. Pretty beautiful I reckon!

PS: if curious about what the actual creek scene looks like, i posted a zoom out shot on my site.
Another shot taken at Table Rock State Park. It is also a 30 seconds exposure with CPL+ND8 stacked on my 17-55mm lens.

I’m 99 for a moment
I’m dying for just another moment
And I’m just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
...
15 there’s still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15 there’s never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

it's incredible how light it stays outside out in Canada even at about 10pm.....this was just 8pm and it was still pretty bright out and the sun, which was setting down just behind me still had quite a ways to go even at past 8pm.....i think blue hour was about 10pm or just past 10pm.....took several angles and perspectives of this beautiful lake which i will post later....have a good morning friends!!!! pls. View On Black
this shot was processed as a single file pseudo HDR to exagerrate the cloud formations a bit and add some drama....i think i like the original version better but i just love doing HDR's as well so here it is/////
caught the tail end of the blue hour down by the Coronado Tidelands and got some teriffic reflections on the water surface as well....this is a 10 second long exposure image....pls. View On Black

strong winds were blowing the clouds down into the city one early morning and the city looked like it was up in smokes from a distance....after this shot, i went straight into the heart of the city and was pretty amazed that everytime the strong winds blew the clouds down into the city, the streets would look like there was a thick fog and then would lift up as the wind died down.....pls. This is a view of the city I love, my hometown, from the other side of the Viatka river. It may look simple and regular, but I'd say the more I travel the more I love it.
Thank you for all the comments and favs, my dear friends.
This is a blend of two images in an effort to portray the tonal range that was visible in the scene.
was lucky i was out this day when the sky was just filled with beautiful white puffy clouds and Lily Lake was quite still that day as well...just added a little tonemapping to enhance the cloud details.....pls. View On Black
Happy bank holiday weekend to all those enjoying one. I always get a little sad when we have the last bank holiday in August. It pretty much marks the end of summer.
Here's a shot to remind you of those warm summer evenings we've been fortunate to have been enjoying. (This shot however, will forever remind me of my Canon 16-35mm lens that met it's demise in the bottom of the harbour!)
From a photography point of view, I'm quite looking forward to the Autumn.
Hope you are all doing ok, I'm a bit hit and miss on here at the moment...life ey?!
passing like ghosts
through sleepy little towns
our faces shocking
and pale
our motives wane
and grasping
seeking out
the undefined
cure for pain
gnawing on the bones
of the extinct
through this
land with no answer
roads run ashen
on and on
across tired earth
counting the faded yellow
dashes
a meaningless message
T...T...T...T...
inviting
a new madness
nothing on the radio
but the soundtrack
to our long daze
of destruction
hey dad
can we stop
and see
the world's largest
frying pan
?

This is a close up of the lower falls at Wildcat creek...I love the way the water falls on this one, its awesome to look at.
Last weekend I had a early start and it looked very promising, but the beautiful morning light did never come. Making one stop just to collect proof for being out, and then back home preparing breakfast for the family.
captured the beautiful sunset colors of the red rocks in Sedona.....the whole area just turns extra special at sunrise and sunset...truly a magical place, the entire 3 days we were there were just a daily awe inspiring, jaw dropping, breathtaking experience.....pls.View On Black
