Shivrak Sunday Chorao island Sunday vegetarian experience pic 5 of 26: I am in a kuIagar (spice garden) on Chorai island off the coast of Panjim, Goa for the Sunday Chorao island Sunday vegetarian experience. Once the briefing was done, all participants were invited to don chef's gear for photographs. Those who intended to participate actively could keep the apron on, others (spectators only) had to return their aprons after the photo shoot. So this then is the group photograph with all participants wearing their chef's gear. Later, after the photo shoot, all the men surrendered their aprons (despite their being at least two professional chefs amongst them) while many of the ladies kept them on. I do cook at home, but me keeping my apron on would have made me the odd one out, so I turned in my apron as well and decided to play silent spectator, like the other men in our group. More than $115,000 in net proceeds was raised last night at the 26th annual Chefs’ Feast for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids program. Thanks to the support from area restaurants and the community, 575 chronically hungry students will now have access to food over the weekends and school holidays.
