We saw this little guy on Bari Reef in Bonaire. I've seen a lot of eels - but this one was unique. I found it - and pointed it out to Kelly.....she saw it and was like 'Whoa!.... I dunno...' (waving underwater and shrugging) We had to go to the 'Fish Brochure' identification books to find out what we had seen......
Above water with a book - it is a Chain Moray Eel....the yellow and black coloring is impressive at depth - it stands out.

I took this of a rusty chain that was wrapped around one of the supports of a pier I took photos of while on a photo walk on the beach. I grained it up a bit to give it a little texture in lightroom 3.

Part of our Ocean collection. This is a breath taking piece with so much depth and character. This seahorse was handmade by my husband (Aaron Holm) in the flame. Pure borosilicate glass created by hand, no presses were used to create this unique piece.
Rich reds and shimmering dichroic glass are swirled throughout this piece. It is loaded with depth and sparkle. This very sweet and magical seahorse measures about 2.25 inches (5.7cm) in length and 1 inch (2.5 cm) in width. The bail is also made of borosilicate glass. Pendant hangs from a solid sterling silver 21 inch (53.3cm) fine chain necklace.

Playing around with different sliders in lightroom can make something dull look a bit more interesting. These are two football goals chained together.

The galaxies in this photo make a much less spectacular picture individually than other galaxies I’ve photographed, but the sheer number and diversity of the galaxies make an interesting image.
This widefield shot of the Virgo Cluster contains eighty-five galaxies that I have been able to identify. Some of them are more easily recognized as galaxies, like M88, the spiral galaxy in the middle right of the frame, or the Siamese Twins, two distant spiral galaxies that are almost touching in the upper left corner. Elliptical galaxies like M84 and M86, the brightest objects in the lower center, look more like balls of light, distinct from the pinpoint of stars because of their fuzzy edges. M87, the elliptical galaxy left of center, is one of the largest galaxies in our neighborhood, containing trillions of stars and a supermassive black hole.
The line of galaxies that starts with M84 and M86 and trails up and to the right in this image is Markarian’s Chain, a collection of galaxies in the Virgo Cluster that is moving together through space.
The smallest galaxies in this image are much easier to spot when the image is inverted with stars and galaxies in black and the background in white. You can see it here: flic.kr/p/2nvBRpV
The larger galaxies were easy to identify in Stellarium or star charts, but Pixinsight annotation script was very helpful in identifying the tiniest smudges I circled.
