The Chain Bridge opened in 1849 and spans the River Danube between Pest and Buda. It is one of the symbolic buildings of Budapest, the most widely known bridge of the Hungarian capital. (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

The commune of Albertville is located at the gateway to several Alpine valleys in the Savoie department. It is located on the border of the Tarentaise, Beaufortain and Val d'Arly, upstream from the Combe de Savoie.
Albertville developed along the course of the river Arly, before its junction with the Isère, located partly in the south-west of the commune. The surrounding massifs are the Bauges (to the west), the Beaufortain (to the north), the Lauzière (to the south) and the Grand Arc.
The summits that can be seen from Albertville are the Belle Étoile, the dent de Cons, the Négresse, the roche Pourrie, the Mirantin, the pointe de la Grande Journée and the Grand Arc chain.
For Macro Mondays - Chain
The chain on our side gate. Each link is 3/4" long. More of a visual deterrent that I had to put on a couple of years ago after several neighbours said they had had someone in their back yards during the night.
Happy Macro Monday!

"And if you don't love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain" - Fleetwood Mac, 'The Chain'.
Chain of Hearts leaves.
This one grows in a pot and the hearts cascade down the sides of the pot .
It has a weird and wonderful flower.
I have a photo of that too.
Ceropegia woodii
These plants are one of the hardiest succulents. They can be grown indoors or outdoors. The long tendrils can grow up to a metre in a season and fill pots very fast. They look very effective in hanging baskets inside your home or outside in a sunny or shady position. The Chain of Hearts do not need frequent watering. Allow to dry out inbetween waterings.
Have a lovely day

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a chain bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by English engineer William Tierney Clark and built by Scottish engineer Adam Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary. It was opened in 1849. It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi (formerly Roosevelt) Square, adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometre Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle.
The bridge has the name of István Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, attached to it, but is most commonly known as the "Chain Bridge". At the time of its construction, it was regarded as one of the modern world's engineering wonders. It has asserted an enormous significance in the country's economic, social and cultural life, much as the Brooklyn Bridge has in New York and the US. Its decorations made of cast iron, and its construction, radiating calm dignity and balance, have elevated the Chain Bridge to a high stature in Europe.
It became a symbol of advancement, national awakening, and the linkage between East and West.
