Olly had made paper chains at school on Friday and insisted we do the same over the weekend. Saturday afternoon we all sat down, put the Christmas CD on and commenced the chain gang of child labour. We produced one that reached half way around the lounge. Today he insisted we do some more to finish the room. They don't look too bad actually. As good as loops of old wrapping paper can, in a 'Cath Kidston meets Poundstretcher' sort of way.

High-strength chain G80 is for same application as Grane, chain hoists, chain blocks, lifting machines..
High strength chain manufactured from a special analysis alloy steel.
The chain is quenched and tempered before the proof testing.
The ultimate tensile strength of alloy chain is over twice that of ordinary steel chain.
The chain is marked to identify grade and manufacturer applications.
Minimum elongation at break test 20%.
Shot for Abstraction. This photo went through many rounds of editing and re-alignment but I am happy with how it turned out. This photo shows my command of ACR as well my ability to see a good composition while shooting.
When I saw this tiny little chain on this hydrant, I couldn't help but think of Werner Schnell's recent shots of those powerful German chains. This is a pallid suburban variation.
April 11, 2018 – “Tempest Chained”
No new photos today. So posting one of the other shots I took of the old junker Pontiac Tempest (a 1961?) I posted on 4/6/18. This one makes it a little more clear just how abandoned it looked. And it’s clearer the oddity of the windshield… Though caked in years of dirt and grime, and no easy way to enter do to the weeds growing up over the doors, it seems the windshield wipers have run recently.
The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849.
It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi (formerly Roosevelt) Square, adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometer Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle
