These organic bell peppers are #3 of 5 in a sequence of fruit / vegetable shots from a local Whole Foods store where I had to convince the store manager that I was not a spy for Safeway before she would let me shoot pictures inside the store.

Best seen in large size.

This shot was put together for many reasons. As part of a new blog post, a portfolio addition and also as a saleable image to adorn the walls of kitchens and restaurants. Shot using an Orbis ring flash around the lens and a diffused speedlite from the right hand side. All lighting was triggered with pocket wizard flex units.

Over wintering outside in the NW of the UK, taken after the coldest night this winter ( -9c ) some part of the Uk have seen a temperature as low as -20c so not sure what the over night temperature was in the garden.

Will it survive to the spring perhaps will find out in a few months.

Other chilli plants are over wintering under protection this is an experiment to see if plants can be grown outside in the UK

Update for the last few days the temperature

has been above freezing and there has been no foliage damage apparent
