Inuksuit (the plural of Inuksuk) serve in a spiritual capacity to indicate a place where life is renewed or where spirits reside; where judgements or decisions are made or where celebrations and festivals are held. Traditionally, they were used by the Inuit in the north as directional markers. An Inukshuk in the shape of a person signifies safety, hope and friendship. These stone sculptures were also important for navigation, as a point of reference, as a marker for hunting grounds, or to denote a food cache.
~ We can observe the Black Tusk too here : The Black Tusk is a stratovolcano and a pinnacle of volcanic rock in Garibaldi Provincial Park of British Columbia, Canada. At 2,319 m above sea level, the upper spire is visible from a great distance in all directions.

The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, initially by the ruler of Amber. The architects achieved a fusion of the Shilpa Shastra of Indian architecture with Rajput, Mughal and European styles of architecture. I am particularly fascinated though by the red shawl on the left and the turbans inside the chamber and also the entrance of another building to the right.
Diwan-I-Khas as shown here was a private audience hall of the Maharajas (meaning rulers or kings), a marble floored chamber. There are two huge sterling silver vessels of 1.6 metres (5.2 ft) height and each with capacity of 4000 litres and weighing 340 kilograms (750 lb), on display here--they are officially recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest sterling silver vessels. These vessels were specially made by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II, who was a highly pious Hindu, to carry the water of the Ganges to drink on his trip to England in 1901 (for Edward VII's coronation) as he was finicky about committing religious sin by consuming the English water. There are a number of crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling too.
“The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it's not. It is an existential truth: only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love, of sharing, of going into the deepest core of another person--without possessing the other, without becoming dependent on the other, without reducing the other to a thing, and without becoming addicted to the other. They allow the other absolute freedom because they know that if the other leaves, they will be as happy as they are now. Their happiness cannot be taken by the other, because it is not given by the other.”

The power station runs with coal and gas. It is one of the biggest in Germany. Currently it operates only with 80 % of its maximum capacity because more and more energy is utilized from sun and wind energy.
The Teatro Reale di San Carlo, is an opera house in Naples, Italy, connected to the Royal Palace and adjacent to the Piazza del Plebiscito. It is the oldest continuously active venue for opera in the world, having opened in 1737, decades before either Milan's La Scala or Venice's La Fenice.
The opera season runs from late January to May, with the ballet season taking place from April to early June. The house once had a seating capacity of 3,285, but has now been reduced to 1,386 seats. Given its size, structure and antiquity, it was the model for theatres that were later built in Europe.

One of the capacities gradually developed by a photographer as time passes by is a "trained" eye for capturing a successful frame ... When you see the scene, it actually calls you to enclose it inside your camera's sensor ...
The two absolutely identical (from a technical - constructive point of view) old, wooden doors stay close to one another forming a formidable mirroring photograph at Nikiforos of Drama's prefecture ... A village of no more than 400 permanent residents but with an extremely interesting variety of old, poor yet architecturally interesting and still absolutely inhabitable if properly maintained dwellings ...
The photograph was taken somewhere around late afternoon hours, without a tripod and with the lowest possible ISO value set on my D90 in order to grasp details as clearly as possible .... Most of my effort was focused in actually framing the scene properly ...
NIKON D90 DSLR with Nikon Nikkor 18 - 55 lens, Manual Mode, shutter speed 1/60s, ISO 160, f 8, focal length 29 mm, use of HOYA ND X 2 filter, cloudy weather white balance, center weighted average metering mode, no flash, no tripod ...
This snap was taken a few days ago when the Red Arrows were performing over the Solent, just before the start of an America’s Cup World Series practice day.
I had cycled the last few miles down to the coast in an effort to beat the traffic and was therefore a bit restricted in carrying capacity and weight. Unfortunately, before departing, when I grabbed my camera I didn’t think to change my usual wide angle lens for something a little more appropriate for a distant air display! As a consequence, this snap has been cropped down by a huge amount.
Well that’s my excuse anyway!
Soo Line train 214, powered by lone EMD SD60M No. 6061, waits for a signal at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 27, 1992. Passing by on the main line is Amtrak train 338 to Chicago, substituted with Chicago Metra commuter equipment. For several years in the early 1990’s, Amtrak would borrow some equipment from Metra to substitute on the Chicago to Milwaukee “Hiawatha” corridor during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. This would allow Amtrak to move equipment normally used on the run to expand capacity on other trains to handle increased holiday ridership.

Our annual Harvest Fest for the backyard visitors was a huge success with all.
With four pumpkins, two of them carved, gourds, Indian corn, almonds, pecans, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, corn, brazil nuts, hazel nuts and sunflower seed setting the stage, everyone felt like a star whenever a treat or two was discovered.
In case of this chipmunk there's no telling how many treats are packed into those cheeks.
**For those of you who know me, if you saw the squirrel photos yesterday, then you probably guessed chippie shots were next!
