Just downstream from the Hot Creek Geologic Site the water seemingly cools somewhat and the warm waters support a bounty of life. Long plants anchor to the bottom and gracefully flow side to side with the currents, moving like long green snakes. In this area we also saw thousands of small clam shells on the banks, suggesting extensive life in the creek.
If you look closely you can see small bubbles on the surface of the water as well as stream just above the surface.
Photo taken a short drive downstream from the Hot Creek Geologic Site near Mammoth Lake, CA (USA).
I was lucky enough to have taken a ride with my husband a couple of days ago. We traveled across Kebler Pass. This well maintained dirt road goes from Paonia to Crested Butte. We returned home via Gunnison. It had been 39 years since we had made this trip. Things
change!!
We both love the ranch life and when I had the opportunity to take this shot of this ranch I couldn't resist. By the way, they were running Hereford cattle, yahoo!
I am not sure I like the composition, exactly, but every time I tried a crop I didn't like that as well, so I decided I would post and see if anyone had a better idea.
Thanks for looking,
Susan

Summer is here, and I am loving it. Beautiful light. Warm and dynamic.
A while back, I took a similar shot. I always like strong backlighted portraits, but it's always difficult to control the exposures. I think I did a better job this time.
Thank you Stephanie; with your sunglasses and big smile, the picture is filled with energy.

He should be old enough and wise enough to know that patience is a virtue.
Mondays are generally bad. This Monday is even worse than the others. Sandwiched between the internal conflicts of dumb clients, I have run out of patience and steam to find any motivation to work with an enthusiastic mind.
My first bite today came at 8:30pm.
