Kleines HDR Panorama von den bunten Häusern auf der Insel Procida. Procida liegt zwischen Kap Miseno und der Insel Ischia im Golf von Neapel und zählt zu den Phlegräischen Inseln. Das Eiland ist Teil der Metropolregion Neapel.

Die Kampenwand ist ein 1669 m ü. NHN hoher Berggipfel in den Chiemgauer Alpen. Sein Gipfelkreuz ist das größte in den Bayerischen Alpen und weithin sichtbar. Der Name leitet sich von ihrem Aussehen ab: Der gezackte Gipfelgrat erinnert an den Kamm auf dem Kopf eines Hahnes.
Zum hohen Bekanntheitsgrad der Kampenwand trägt außerdem ein berühmter bairischer Schüttelreim bei:
„I gangat gern auf d’Kampenwand, wann i mit meiner Wamp’n kannt’.“
Für die Norddeutschen flickr Freunde übersetzt:
„Ich ginge gerne auf die Kampenwand, wenn ich mit meinem dicken Bauch es könnte.“
The Kampenwand is a 1669 m above sea level mountain peak in the Chiemgau Alps. Its summit cross is the largest in the Bavarian Alps and is visible from afar. The name is derived from its appearance: The jagged summit ridge is reminiscent of the crest on the head of a rooster.
A famous Bavarian shaking rhyme also contributes to the high degree of fame of the Kampenwand:
"I gangat gern auf d'Kampenwand, wann i mit meiner Wamp'n kannt'."
Translated for the North German flickr friends:
"I'd like to go on the Kampenwand, if I could with my fat belly."

Auch dies gehört zu Nürnberg, wenn auch zur dunklen Geschichte der Stadt, und der Deutschlands.
Die Zeppelintribüne mit Führerempore auf dem Zeppelinfeld des Reichsparteitagsgeländes. Wie der Name schon sagt, war das Feld auch ein Landeplatz für Zeppeline. Unter anderem landete auch die Hindenburg mehrere Male in Nürnberg.
Der Neoklassizismus des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts wurde in der nationalsozialistischen Architektur monumental übersteigert. Erhaben, mächtig und ehrfurchtgebietend sollte sie sein, für die Ewigkeit gebaut. Und so fehlten in den Plänen für das Nürnberger Reichsparteitagsgelände Farben oder schmückende Elemente, kaltes Grau war die vorherrschende Farbe. Viele Bauwerke auf dem Gelände wurden wegen des Krieges nicht fertig gestellt. Heute sind sie Denkmäler und Mahnmale zugleich, und werden von vielen Touristen besucht.
Einmal im Jahr dient das Gelände um die Tribüne als Rennstrecke für den Norisring. Im Rahmen der deutschen Tourenwagenmeisterschaften wird hier ein Autorennen ausgetragen.

The Zeppelin Tribune with Führer's gallery on the Zeppelin Field of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds. As the name suggests, the field was also a landing field for zeppelins. Among other things, the Hindenburg also landed several times in Nuremberg.
The neoclassicism of the early 20th century was monumentally exaggerated in National Socialist architecture. Sublime, powerful and awe-inspiring it was to be, built for eternity. And so the plans for the Nuremberg Nazi Party Rally Grounds lacked color or ornamental elements; cold gray was the predominant color. Many buildings on the site were not completed because of the war. Today they are monuments and memorials at the same time, and are visited by many tourists.
Once a year, the area around the grandstand serves as a race track for the Norisring. A car race is held here as part of the German Touring Car Championships.

Last evening Dan and I took a drive south and visited the San Juan's close up. While I usually turn west and focus on the Sneffle's Range, yesterday we went east and tried the Cimarron Range. With the season just starting to change the snow is still close and the fields in the Cow Creek area are just turning green. To say the scenes were beautiful would be an under statement.
The down side was that it was so cloudy from the spring storms that are lingering in our area, that the sunset light was limited. I think this will do anyway.

Wandelen in een bos (in de buurt van de Hilversumse hei) en dan deze bijzondere dode boom tegenkomen. Ik vind hem prachtig. Hij hoort eigenlijk in een sprookjesbos thuis.

Golden aspen and dramatic clouds are a simple pleasure of life here in Colorado! Stunning mountains is another plus of our area. As a stated a couple of photos ago, I am not through with fall and this image is one reason why. This is the west end of the Sneffles Range.

This picture looks harder than it is because the word was soo long. I had to do it a couple times. By the 6th time, I was able to write the words faster and nicer.

Ze doen hun best om het mislukte megalomane New Babylon nieuw leven in te blazen. Ik denk niet dat ze met nieuwe lampen het tij zullen keren. We zullen het zien.
Webwinkel Cool Blue heeft ongeveer de helft van alle winkels overgenomen zodat je hier ook kunt kijken wat je kunt kopen.

The beautiful wings on a comma butterfly (Polygonia c-album) makes me think of a map of a coastline.
This guy had landed on a rock in the garden pond to drink during this insense heatwave we're experiencing.
