La mamma ( a sinistra ) si è presentata in casa un giorno per presentarmi i suoi due maschietti ' e naturalmente sono rimasti con noi ....
Il cardo dei lanaioli o scardaccione, il cui nome scientifico è Dipsacus fullonum L., è una pianta erbacea molto diffusa in tutto il mediterraneo e, per questo, adoperata dall'uomo, in passato, per le sue numerose qualità. Cresce abbondante e rigogliosa praticamente ovunque, lungo i fossi, a bordo strada, sulle macerie e negli incolti pietrosi ed argillosi e, raggiungendo un'altezza fino a due metri, è ben individuabile, anche per via delle robuste infiorescenze ovoidali, dette capolini; questi sono formati da tanti piccoli fiori violacei, che si aprono durante l'estate.

Il molinetto della Croda,nella valle del Lierza,rappresenta uno dei più suggestivi angoli della Marca Trevigiana ..Nei suoi quattro secoli di storia ha ispirato artisti e incantato migliaia di visitatori
Caratteristico esempio di architettura rurale del secolo XVII,l'edificio fu costruito a piu riprese .Le fondazioni della primitiva costruzione poggiano sulla nuda roccia,appunto la "croda" della montagna.

Oud, verwaarloosd en bijna niet meer in gebruik.
Een loopbrug over de A12 (?) ergens tussen Arnhem en Utrecht. We wilden wat eten maar toen we eenmaal bij het wegrestaurant aankwamen bleek het verwaarloosd en verlaten te zijn. Op naar de volgende.

Radio Kootwijk stond al jaren op mijn Bucket-list en eindelijk is het er dan van gekomen.
Na anderhalf jaar weer een dagje weg met fotovrienden. Het "normale" leven begint langzaam weer realiteit te worden.
Het Art Deco gebouw (1923) van Julius Luthman is indrukwekkend, zowel van binnen als van buiten.

Canterbury Shaker Village - Pink Lady's Slipper
Canon 5D Mark ii with Canon 24-105mm F4L IS USM
Historic Canterbury Shaker Village is one of my favorite haunts. While some come to tour the historic buildings and to learn of the Shaker culture, I enjoy the simplicity of the grounds and the opportunities to pursue captures of images for both wildlife and landscape photography.
Pink Lady's Slipper can be both rare and common in my area. Rare close to home, but at Canterbury Shaker Village, they grow like weeds!

Historic Canterbury Shaker Village is one of my favorite haunts. While some come to tour the historic buildings and to learn of the Shaker culture, I enjoy the simplicity of the grounds and the opportunities to pursue captures of images for both wildlife and landscape photography.
Iris is one of my favorite flowers and imagine my surprise to seeing them growing wild beside the pond.

You'll find a number of these "balanced rocks" in the general vicinity of Lee's Ferry/Navajo Bridge/Marble Canyon (i.e., northern Arizona). The rationale for tossing shoes onto the top of them eludes me.
