My first paid cake job!
A Moshi monsters cake featuring Poppet.
I got my inspiration from a woman in the cakesphere called Ivy jane who has done several Moshi Monster cakes before
The cake was from Momofuku Milk Bar and Bakery. The laser cut out Dan helped to create. Perfect cake decoration.
My first and so far only attempt at a Fraisier. Inspired after watching it on Great British Bake Off.

It was quite difficult to follow Debbie's instructions but I tried my best to get it right.
I had to stand by this cake for...um, ever. Seemingly forever. While looking happy next to other people looking happy at the cake. I'm really interested to see what photo came out good.

Based on a local childrens entertainer, hand cut elements with bright colours and glitter....abracadabra fish and chips!
This French almond cake uses brown butter (beurre noisette) with bits of chocolate cookies mixed in to make the "tiger" pattern. It has a "well" of chocolate ganache in the center. The cake was orignally the size of cupcakes, but I super-sized this one.
I'm very happy with the way these Opera cake slices turned out (although I lost my ruler and had to cut them by eye!) they are slightly differing in sizes. Anyway, my Chef complimented me on my smooth and clean finish of the glaze, which made me very happy since when I was putting the glaze on it was hardening too quickly and came out uneven. So I had to put on a second layer which came out much more better and I was happy to be able to salvage it! Anyway, my Chef told me to leave one of the boxes because she was going to show them to Chef Gallacher (our Course Coordinator!) I was very happy to be singled out this way and I got my highest mark so far--84, which is kinda of depressing to be so happy about it but seriously, my Chef is a hard marker!
