My entry for the san diego cake club cake show! Styrofoam dummy cake decorated with fondant and a gumpaste peony
Heather made this cake for the 2007 Kentucky State Fair. The scene is from the Great Muppet Caper. It rocks so much that I have decided the diabetic coma that would result from my eating it would be totally worth it.
A special order for my client's daughter's birthday! Made a miniature cake version of her yellow dollhouse :)
I helped decorate this cake for my friend's 10th birthday. His birthday party was a candyland birthday so I helped to decorate a candyland cake. For the party they made a life size candyland board game by placing colored squares throughout there house and at certain squares they put the candy that went along with that part of the board game so that the kids could eat the candy. (see my flickr stream for more photos)

A last minute cake made for my kid's school. This is a WASC (white almond sour cream) cake with Buttercream Dream and MMF (marshmallow fondant) and Black Satin Ice Fondant for Back to School night in September of 2007. The tan fondant is imprinted with a wood grain and the chalk and eraser are also made of fondant. There's some powdered sugar chalk dust also. Finally I painted the writing on the board with a white edible coloring.

So here it is; my first attempt at a standing sculpted cake. I have been wanting to do a standing cake for ages so when my best friend told me her twin boys had requested a dinosaur cake for their 5th bday I knew exactly what I was going to do. Big thanks to my lovely husband for making the stand for me - I enjoyed this cake so much and can't wait to do more like it :)
This was cake number 5 of my very busy week!!
Trying out a new recipe. A beautifully moist and lovely textured cake. I used dutch process cocoa (dark) so didn't see much of the beetroot colour that I was hoping for, but the taste was divine!
'Shaunella' cake covered in hundreds of tiny white marshmallows for a gorgeous 2nd birthday where the birthday girl had a petting zoo complete with sheep for her entertainment. Photo by the very talented Amy Schulz Photography.
Naked cake! I wanted the cake board to match the invitation too, so I covered it in the fabric I used for Marin's party dress and then covered the fabric in clear contact paper. The package didn't say anything about not using it with food, but just in case, I cut pieces of wax paper to go between the cake and the board.

Esse pequeno bolo tem origem no Reino Unido, onde são chamados até hoje de Fairy Cakes (bolo das fadas), tradicionalmente um bolinho de baunilha com cobertura de fondant, presente no clássico chá das 5.
