Congratulations to such a lovely, sweet couple - Karishma & Jo - who celebrated their wedding today. They had a 4 tier cake - in vanilla, a Ferrero Rocher inspired chocolate-hazelnut, and zesty lemon sponges - decorated with sugar ruffles, diamond embossing with gold dragees, their specially designed monogram and finished with purple hand-made roses and purple ribbon.
A white cake with pure white (boiled) icing. Since it's so boring white, I threw in some bling for a bold look. The filling is a mix of glace cherries, figs, raisins, and pecans.
The icing recipe I found had too much sugar. It formed a smooth shiny coating, but became much too sticky and runny, no good.
Here is the beginning of a delicious pudding cake that I made. Yum...

Made by my friend Kerry for our Easter brunch. It was so moist and delicious. She told me the secret ti the rich taste and moist texture was using 4 apples and 1 cup of applesauce.
Every year, I want a three layer yellow cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting for my birthday. I finally made it yesterday. A few days late but no less tasty.
First Christmas-themed cake for the year. It's coconut pandan chiffon cake filled with macapuno and frosted with Swiss Meringue buttercream. With gumpaste decorations.

My SIL and I made the blossoms. I covered a three-layer Black Forest cake with fondant. Then I decorated it with chocolate butter cream frosting and a molded chocolate bird.
