My father-in-law made us a cake for our anniversary! It was reminiscent of the Twinkie cake at our reception - a pound-cake-like ring on the outside, and chocolate chip cookie-like on the inside. Very complicated. He did a good job.
Ingredients:
60 Pampers Swaddlers
4 Classic Pooh pink flannel receiving blankets
3 washcloths
1 Classic Pooh hat
1 Classic Pooh blanket
1 pair Classic Pooh socks
1 pair Classic Pooh booties
1 plush Classic Pooh bear
Vanilla cake with lemon curd filling and lemon buttercream icing. Decorated with fresh blueberries. 8 inches x 4 inches. Made for my friend Lise.
I can *finally* show you my Farmyard Cake that I designed for little Luke! I've been waiting for the e-mag it was featured in, to be released to the public. The cake was designed to incorporate the colour and theme of the party, and the animals featured on Luke's party invitations.
The separator was made by my husband from real horse shoes. The flowers are gumpaste as are the "tooled leather" pieces around the sides of the cake. I hand-cut them with an exacto knife to achieve the look.

6'' dark choc mud, with 9" white choc bottom tier. The design was from a picture the bride sent me.. which I changed a little.
