On a perfect autumn morning CSX train I136 breaks the tranquility of the small town of Sutersville, PA as it grinds its way upgrade towards Connelsville. Chasing the Keystone sub can be faily difficult, as the roads are not in the same valley as the tracks, and the trains tend to make trackspeed. We shot this guy leaving Mckeesport, and made it here with only a few minutes to spare.

CSX 8454 leads Conrail 6579 & 7522 on Conrail train WIMA-38 at CP WOOD on the Fort Wayne Line in Homewood, PA on October 29, 1992. Getting a CSX leader was a surprise as it would normally be seen in the valley down below along the Beaver River on the ex P&LE main.

The CSX J946 pulls off the Iowa Interstate connector to Blue Island Junction and onto shared Metra/CSX/IAIS trackage at Interchange, just north of Robbins, but inside the Blue Island, IL city limits. The PTC antenna looming in the background likely indicates the ex-CRI&P signal bridges are on borrowed time.
