CSX 6002 & 4258 depart Blacks Run in W. Aliquippa, PA with the first Three Rivers Railway train on September 17, 1992. The power ran light from either New Castle or Youngstown and picked up all the outbound cars at the Aliquippa & Southern interchange. There had not been any activity here since the P&LE became a fallen flag about a week earlier.

February 16, 2018: CSX manifest train Q542 (Waycross, GA-Cincinnati, OH) motors Northbound on the K&A Main of the CSX Etowah Subdivision through the small hamlet of White, GA. A variety of power pulled the train including a CSX AC4400CW in YN2 paint, along with anET44AH, ES40DC, and an SD40E3.

CSX westbound grain train getting ready to pass under 1 of the infamous B&O bridges at 400 E in Noble County Indiana. 116 years ago the train would have been coming off the original alignment when the B&O ran thru the town of Avilla. the original alignment would have continued straight instead of following the curve that can been seen mid-train. Train is headed to Lapaz IN to be loaded out at the Cargill Facility.

CSX wasn't about to let Norfolk Southern got it alone running engines in only primer. They ran a few of the new GEVO's around for a while like this, before they hit the paint booth.

CSX yard crew in Cayce, South Carolina uses CSXT ES44AC to move cars around the former Seaboard Air Line yard.

You have to drive like a mad man to get ahead of a train these days, but managed to (barely) beat this one to the south end of Robards where a new siding is going in.

CSX I007-18 has CSX 1973 Chessie System heritage unit leading the way through Lyons NY Tuesday night bound for Rose Lake IL 7-18-23.

February 16, 2018: CSX loaded phosphate train K818-13 (New Wales, FL-Proviso, IL) powers upgrade at Rydal, GA passing one of many rural farms along the K&A Main of the CSX Etowah Subdivision, with a trio of Union Pacific engines (pair of AC4400CW GE, SD70M EMD) providing the juice.

Autorack train Q276-13 passing the shuttered tower at Greene Junction in South Connellsville, PA. It could be demolished by CSX at any time. I'm cutting way back on my coverage/photos of CSX now. Reason being, the train traffic on the Keystone Subdivision has dwindled to historically low levels. Five hours can be spent waiting to get one photo of one train. A monumental waste of time, especially since CSX is retiring most of their older interesting locomotives from service. I'd rather spend time in the woods.
