The Comau fjord, also known as Leptepu, is a 68 km long fjord that stretches from the Gulf of Ancud to the Caleta Leptepu. The Fjord is covered in its entirety by regular services of sea transport from Hornopirén to caleta Leptepu that form a maritime section for those who access the Carretera Austral from Puerto Montt. The ferry boat trip takes 4 hrs approx with amazing views of mountains, islands and two other fjords, inside Pumalin Park. Vodudahue is a valley located at the southern end of the Comau fjord and on the banks of the Vodudahue River, the beautiful field surrounded by granite mountains has a few inhabitants which is accessed only by sailing. In the valley, two conservation projects are developed, one based on the old Alerce 3,000 nursery, where the San Jose Carpintero Church was built, which is a kind of replica of the Church of Colo in Chiloe and a group of tourist hostels to receive to future visitors interested in touring some of the trails. The second project is the northern entrance to the Pumalin Douglas Tompking National Park. Those who are licensed to fish can try their luck in the Vodudahue and Trollhuán rivers, known to be good for fly fishing. The new land route of the Carretera Austral that will replace the current maritime section, will pass through this area, the construction works began in 2018.
I promise this is the last mineral spring shot for now - but i really love this spring! The water is so fresh and wonderful!
This tranquil waterfall, captured in the heart of Triberg, Germany, showcases the natural beauty of the region. The silky flow of the water contrasts with the lush green moss and surrounding vegetation, creating a peaceful and serene scene. Triberg is famous for its cascading waterfalls and picturesque Black Forest landscapes, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Can you believe this water?
I'll gladly lead you the way if anyone's interested. You can only reach this beach, located on the east coast of Sardinia, after a very hard and long walk. You start at about 500-600 meters altitude and you walk about 4km's straight down to the sea. The terrain is hot, hard and rocky. 4 km's may not sound like much, but it's almost 2 hours of non-stop walking. Once you arrive at the bay, you can't believe your eyes. The clearest and mildest water i've ever experienced in my entire life. Beautiful active waves make sure you get what you earn after that hard walk. Even now, i still look in back in awe everytime i see my own shots.
And then comes the hard part.. Climbing back up. Make that two and a half, even three hours of pure exhaustion. But totally worth it.

A diver hovers through the crystal-clear water of the lake Sameranger (Tyrol, Austria). Tree trunks are lying higgledy-piggledy on the ground. Like a "pickup-sticks" game for giants. On the surface you can see the silhouette of the trees around the lake.
The Momoyama period garden of Suizenji-jojuen is considered one of Japan’s most beautiful stroll gardens. Laid out in 1636 and constructed over a period of almost a century, it includes (not always obvious or explained) miniature scenes from the 53 stations of the old Tokaido Highway that connected Edo (present-day Tokyo and Kyoto), with outlines of Lake Biwa and Mt. Fuji (seen here in the background on the left).

Opal Creek Wilderness. This is one of quite a few I have to process from a backpacking trip I took there early this summer. This was the first evening near sunset with the light just popping through in the back of this canyon. The water here really is this crystal clear.
It's a long exposure so some of the foliage is moving in the full resolution image. Sometimes you just cannot avoid that like here where the breeze was coming through. What a beautiful place to be. Look forward to my next trip here. Hopefully it won't be an eight year gap like it was before. As always thanks for taking a look and enjoy!

You want to shoot drinks with nice and clear ice cubes but you don't want to shell out a fortune for acrylic cubes?
Here you go, from left to right:
1. Cloudy, ugly icecube---we can do better!
2. A styrofoam mold guarantees isolation at the bottom
3. Filling that mold with water serves as thermal coupling
4. Now: boil destilled water, then let it sit, until it is handwarm
5. Fill the icecube tray
6. Wait approx 15 h, and then enjoy your clear cubes :-)
The trick is the "directional" freezing. If the ice freezes from all sides simultaneously, the air cannot get out and the ice gets cloudy. If you insulate one side, this is not the case.
The boiling boils out enclosed air,
the usage of destilled water guarantees clean water.
Piece of cake! :-)

Maya Ruins of TULUM
Tulum Archeological Zone, Yucatan Peninsula, Quintana Roo, Mexico
One of the two lookout posts where Maya sentinels would guard the city of Tulum from seafaring attack. This sentinel post is on the beach below the city. Another lookout site is above the city on the cliffs.
The amazing Caribbean view from Tulum is unique among Maya cities since they rarely built on the coast. The Walled City was surrounded by 16 ft tall, 26 ft wide walls. Another rarity for the Maya (only 1 other Maya city is known to have been built with walls).

I went to Yellowstone during the last part of spring. The snow was still quite deep in the mountains, but in the Yellowstone valley is was relatively nonexistent except in the mountains. This is an image from the north end of Grand Prismatic Spring. The Grand Prismatic Spring gets its name from the many different colors that can be observed in the hot water which is caused by the bacteria living in microbial mats.
Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States and is about 160 °F.

It's my first attempt to shoot waterdrops. Ain't easy, it's a matter of trial and error but I'm definitely happy with the result...will certainly try to capture some more soon.

We were driving around in Newcastle looking for places to shoot, and I came across this lovely looking beach around Merewether Heights, with very few people on it and only a handful of residential properties near.
I wish I had taken my swimming gear up with me, was a lovely day for a swim!
*NEWS FLASH* Snelvis, a contact of mine, who takes excellent photos around Newcastle, informed me that this is called Burwood Beach, and is next to Merewether Beach
