In this picture the sea lion has closed his eyes. This is not very common, since they normally swim with their eyes open.

Port Mar del Plata. Mar del Plata, Argentina (Puerto de Mar del Plata).

There are some places where, when you are there, you feel disconnected from the world. Places that people that live there are so relaxed and laid back that even if you spend just a few hours at their homeland, you absolutely feel their slow and relaxing rhythm. One of these places is Little Cayman, the smallest of the 3 islands that make up Cayman Islands. You can drive and circle the entire island within 30-35 minutes. It only has one perimeter road and 2 roads across. No big resorts, fancy restaurants and touristy attractions. Just beach homes, lots of piers and a few sandy beaches. You get that experience from the moment you step in the plane that takes you from Grand Cayman. There is only one airline and the plane has only 17 seats. It's so small, that you can't even stand. Then you arrive to the airport, which really isn't an airport, it's just an airfield where anyone can get into the "terminal". No security whatsoever and that perimeter road goes through the airfield. If you ever find yourself visiting Cayman Islands, I totally recommend taking 1 or 2 days to just relax, absorb the Caribbean atmosphere and feel off the grid at a place like Little Cayman.

Thank you all for taking a look at my images, its truly appreciated!

Bavaria, Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany.

Lake O’Hara sits high in the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 2,020m (6,627 feet). It is a beautiful sub-alpine glacial lake surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. The hiking-friendly environment - with so many accessible trails starting right from the lake, hikers can easily spend days here without getting bored. Went there twice during the trip, this was the first time, experienced weather changing from sunshine, to raining and snowing, very windy. Most of the photos taken by my camera were mist covered moody photos. 😉

The most photographed place on the whole Lake O'Hara Circuit is called Opabin Prospects. Here is the view of Lake O'Hara, the crystal-clear lakes, hanging valleys, towering snow-capped mountains, and the pristine nature that shows the best Yoho National Park has to offer. It leaves you speechless!

We have the most clear water of the Europe Union in Dalmatia, people say

Kata Tjuta together with Uluru is considered sacred by the Aboriginal people and is situated in the Northern Territory, central Australia. It has a magic and spiritual feeling all of it's own. I loved it. The light is absolutely brilliant and the colours are breathtaking. A very memorable experience.

Someone asked me - if money is not a question, what would i do? I gave an altruistic reply about doing good for humanity with a specific project in mind. My selfish desire, if i had all the money in the world, would be to hop on a yacht and go to Amalfi Coast, Italy. But since resources are limited, i content myself with this little boat and crystal clear water..drinking Italian wine..

Skogafoss Waterfall, Iceland

Iceland in September 2017 - one of the best vacation trips of my life! Skogafoss is certainly the most impressive waterfalls I've ever had the fortune of visiting, the sheer scale of this waterfall is hard to comprehend at first!

Skogafoss is a must visit in Iceland to see the sheer size of this waterfall and its power.

The Skogafoss Waterfall is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters (82 ft) and a drop of 60 meters (200 ft).

This majestic looking Waterfall is situated on the Skoga River in the south of Iceland.

The south coast of Iceland is a truly magical area; you can see glaciers, geysirs, volcanoes as well as black sand beaches, ice caps and riverbeds.

It was very challenging to be close to the waterfall, shoot long exposures and avoid getting soaked with all the intense mist. I had to move, block, do whatever I could – wipe the camera and lens after every try… definitely worth it though! Next time, I will block one whole day for this waterfall.

Wikipedia:

The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 metres (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The legend continues that locals found the chest years later, but were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared again. The ring was allegedly given to the local church. The old church door ring is now in a museum, though whether it gives any credence to the folklore is debatable."Þrasi’s chest of gold".

This is a single shot at ISO 200 , 13 sec - Sony Alpha 6000 and a Samyang 12 mm wide lens) on a tripod, edited in Snapseed (free) on a tablet.

I do get a lot of questions regarding my processing with snapseed. I typically go to “tune image”, adjust the “ambiance” and then play around with the “brush” feature eg. “dodge and burn”. After these adjustments I typically add some tonal contrast.

I must say I love snapseed´s ability to smartly select areas for selective retouching; its Ambience tool provides a wonderful combination of brightness, shadow opening, warmth, and even incredible highlight protection all at once.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look. Hope you enjoy and potentially learn something! Big thanks to the amazing Flickr family out there!

At my favorite lake again. Love it's emerald green and crystal clear water from the snow melt.

Myall Lakes National Park, Great Lakes, NSW

One of the last shots with my underwater Camera before it packed in for good.

Scenic aerial view of crystal-clear water with variations in depth visible through the water's color.

The lighter turquoise hues indicate shallower areas or sandy bottoms, while the deeper blues indicate greater depth or the presence of underwater reefs.

Shot from above one of the highest dunes cliffs at Ras Mohammed National Park.

From underneath

My shadow allowed me to capture the movement of sand underneath the water line. I took this shot while knee deep in the sea in Greece a couple of years ago.

I don’t recall wearing a hat and a full length cape raincoat but I might have done 🤔.....

Thanks for visiting.

Take care out there......

From the base camp in Soraypampa (3,865 m), we went up to this beautiful glacier lake (4,200 m). Unfortunately, thick clouds of rain rose, so you can only guess the snow-capped peaks - but also such a great sight. This ascent to the lake was only for the acclimation and so we went back down to the base camp attacking the Salkantay pass the next morning.

I have stitched 3 landscape format photographs for this panorama image...

Through this tiny drop you can see the background of this picture crystalclear! (a branch in the grass)

A glorious swan at the local lake. It had been diving a few times and there was wonderful droplets of water all over which were shining in the late evening sun. The water was super still apart from where it was making these wonderful circles of ripples as it dived and returned.

Fish were feeding so I could get close

spring is coming..still cold..but crystalclear and sparkling..
