Out of nowhere this Snowy Owl suddenly appeared. It flew past a few us walking along the circuit road and then banked right to sit on the slope of a hill. Eventually it managed to grab a vole at the bottom of the slope. Toronto, Canada

Walking down from St. Mary's on the top of the cliff, one has a panorama view of Whitby's East and West Piers and the two Breakwaters. The sea can be ferocious, and I tried to feel what the fishermen might feel when getting out of the cruel sea and entering the protected calm of the harbour.

The weather is warming and plants are coming into bloom

Osprey just after exiting the water unfortunately without a catch. We did see it have a successful dive a short while later but out of camera range. Lake Ontario shoreline.
