Returning from a two week vacation on Vancouver Island, I was still about 45 minutes away from Kamloops but the terrain had started to feel like home. So I pulled the car over to take this shot. It may not be the traditionally "beautiful" sights of Vancouver Island but it's home. And it's beautiful to me.
This balloon is in the process of landing back at the Prosser airport where it took off from. The burner is to slow there decent so they land quite softly. DSC_0860-HDR

Meandering south towards Martinsburg, the daily train of the Everett Railroad passes trackside homes in the quaint little town of Roaring Spring, PA.

A white-faced ibis and cattle egret sort things out. One of many conflicts resolved daily at the Merced National Wildlife Refuge.
In a couple of days I will drive North to enjoy the Danish West Coast. Vejers Strand, Jylland, Denmark
