"Why do you chew your gum so god damn loud Song?" Said Archer half grimacing at the sound and half laughing because egging on Song was a favorite pass time. Song took the opportunity to start the biggest bubble he could make. He punched his tongue through the gum and out of his lips and then blew out all the air in his lungs like he was a fire breathing dragon. Archer squealed and aligned their finger, "Coming in HOT!" Before Song could even figure out what it meant... POP!

B&w images allow the viewer to focus upon details without the distraction of color. (This is NOT an original statement from me, I read or heard it somewhere a long time ago,)
These are blossoms from a small shrub that rests on our apartment's balcony. My son and daughter-in-law gave it to me a few years ago when I reached a landmark birthday. In the repotting process I was able to share a plant with them for their patio.
A little story from today:
We found a new trail today - and a new lake.
It was quite far away and the last bit was bumpy
We had to walk our bikes because the trail was not really fit for driving...
At some point we found that it was best to leave the bikes to get up to the lake we wanted to visit.
We went along for a while, up to this lake and saw a beautiful sunny star and autumn colors.
So the struggle was awarded with a nice view.
We even found bear poop with red berries in, good grief.
We wanted to have our little picnic another place so luckily we headed towards the bikes.
There we found that one of the bikes had moss stuck in the chain and I mean stuck...
Good thing we didn't use the time for a picnic - it was getting a bit late...
You can't really believe that moss can be that hard to get away when it had infiltrated the chain but it sure was a struggle.
And my man was on his four, crawling around in the muddy grass and moss and yes there came some xxx words now and then, he had to unscrew the pedal and lift off stuff and unscrew again and again.
Phew..
Did I hear noises in the forest, well yes.
Did I think of the bear poop we just saw, well yes.
So in the middle of the forest - far away from everybody else - we were quite stuck with a bike that was dead.
And a man down..
And a bear loose and hungry, probably...
After swearing and screwing it all back the bike was ready to roll again and we headed to our other lake to have our picnic.
What an adventure.
We were quite happy that we didn't need to walk the bikes home, that would have taken some hours.....
This lake will always remember me of this bikeride.
I don't have any thoughts of going back there for some time 😁

A shot of the much photographed Millennium Footbridge in London which spans the river Thames. Obviously we had some pretty thick fog on this morning and the man emerging from it was a bonus,
Do you have a favourite bridge??
