Lies Baas 2011 While waiting in the lobby our anticipation got to a high low. What if the room is just like a cuboard, what if we stare at a brick wall while looking outside the window??? The clerk who helped us seemed a nice man. So without thinking I asked the man softly: "Could you get us the best room you have for this discount price, the room with the best view"???
Chris kicked me, and tried to hush me....but the man said: "Well...if you don't mind waiting for one hour I will put you up in the nicest room, you know what>I'll even book you a free upgrade if you wait for one hour in the bar. Would you like me to do that"???
I gave him my nicest smile, and asked him:"Would it make it easier for you if we would wait 1,5 hours so you have more time to prepare"?
He than offered to give us a coupon each so we could get a free drink in the hotel bar. We gladly accepted all he had offered. Five minutes later we had found out that we could choose anything in the bar up to $20,- each for the coupons we recieved.....

I take this road everyday to office and back. I always thought of making a light trail shot here. This is not a perfect place – there is no road divider and in the evening traffic is heavy only at one side (people coming home). But thick and tall vegetation on both sides created a nice “V” (or leading line, the way u see it). I just had to wait for a evening with interesting sky.

More practicing people shots. This one was too easy since she was talking animatedly on her cell phone while she was folding laundry. How do folks manage that? Every time I try I cut off whoever I'm talking to. :-)
The infamous house on the hill looms over Los Angeles like an old friend, long forgotten to time and sits empty waiting for anyone to fully understand the stories that the walls have witnessed first hand.
It was here Dr. Harold Perelson on the eve of December 6th, 1959 had gone mad, killing his wife with the intent of killing their three children as well. When the eldest daughter escaped and got help, Dr. Perelson had taken his life and let the house and its tragedies be lost to history.
Despite the house being handed over to a woman, and later her son, the house was left as a time capsule with no one daring to live within those walls since the murder all those decades ago.
For the first time, the time capsule has been open and welcomed its first visitors outside of its owner to explore the ballroom on the top floor and old fashioned bar, the four master bedrooms, gorgeous staircase, and the evidence of life left behind.
