Long time no see! It has been so long since I've posted anything on here and I suppose that is mainly because the doll hobby has kinda been on hold for me lately.. In less than a month my dad and I will be moving and the whole process to getting this far has been a lot more hectic and intense than I ever could have imagined. So with all the stress of that and my school work, my dolls have had to be put on the back burner unfortunately. But, I am feeling ready to maybe get more involved with the hobby again and because of that, I actually have boughten a new doll as sort of an early birthday present for myself. I've purchased @//annepecaro's Resinsoul Lan/Doll Chateau hybrid girl (her old Caty Bracken) and I'm feeling really good about this purchase so far. Hopefully she'll get here before we leave though. ^o^
While I'm updating you all, I figured I should mention that my Dollzone Zo and my Volks Lorina are both still for sale since the people who had them on layaway decided to back out. If you're interested in them or want more info/sales photos please feel free to email me. My email address is: emeraldfuentes@gmail.com
Also, I am hoping to send a few dolls off to get painted and one to be modded within the coming months so I suppose I'll talk more about that once it actually starts happening.
One last thing, these two girls in the photo are my newest Azone girls. In my last post I had mentioned that I was getting a new one and that would be the blonde girl. She is a Spring Rabbit Mia in case anyone was curious, and she came with all of her original accessories too. The other little lady with the purple hair was a custom obitsu head I bought off of eBay about 1-2 months ago.
I'll be surprised if anyone actually reads all of this since it's turned out to be much longer than I originally intended, but I am just glad to be involved with my dolls again. ☺️
After filling up with water, my bees head back to the hive. The water is deposited in cells in the frames, Bees stand at the front of the hive and fan with their wings towards the hive, this works just like an evaporative air cooler, thus lowering the temp of the hive.
Another shot from Sunday -- I'm ambivalent about the action in this shot, but I really like the light coming through the wave, and the spray.

Part of my final project for my first BFA photography course at Arizona State University. My project, called Coming & Going, includes three elements. First, using the photographic version of a pentimento (in this case, double exposures). Second, paying homage to one of Thomas Struth's first exhibits, which featured photos of streets in New York City and his hometown of Dusseldorf (in my case, New York City and Des Moines). Finally, based on a project proposed by Alec Soth, combine a photograph with some basic descriptive text, and then consider whether it's better with or without the words.
Exactly 2 weeks after climbing up to the cave and spending 24 hours in Goats Hole, Paviland, with 3 mates - I return to reminisce during a trip to the Gower, Wales. The cave can only be accessed during low tide for approximately an hour.
In 1823 the red strained bones of the "Red Lady of Paviland" was discovered in a cave (Goat's Hole). The 'Red Lady' turned out to be a 34,000 year old young male, and the discovery marks the earliest known formal burial in Western Europe.
Female Eagle is coming into the nest at the Guntersville Dam. My main reason for posting this picture is to show how well the new 5D Mark III performs at higher ISO, this is ISO 2500 with very little correction. There is no way any of my past camera bodies could have pulled this off. Somewhere someone claimed there was a focus problem with IS on longer lenses, I am happy to say that is not the case in my experience.

Today, as I was texturing my coming soon clothes, I was watching the History Channel, and it was about the World War 1 & 2. The conclusion from my brain is "Between the good side and the bad side, or what we consider them to be, they have one similarity.... they have a very strong self principle.

A VERY tongue-in-cheek glimpse of our latest adventure.
We had a fantastic 3 days walking and photographing a portion of the amazing Dorset coastline.
Back soon with some pics .... ;-)
