A view from the boat as we were coming home from our half-term break. I had heard that there had been loads of snow overnight! All roads had been shut and I wasn't sure that we'd be able to get home. Thankfully the main roads had been cleared and we arrived home safely. Back to the scene this is Laxey bay and the hills above and north.
Often winters are very soothing and pleasent when we talk about beaches of India.

Thanks to a dear, dear sincere friend in this hobby, this darling girl that I use to own is making her way back to me!! YAY! She should be here tomorrow! It's been a horrific weekend (NOT just putting my cat down, but other shit!) and this wonderful gesture is beyond amazing for me.....
I got back from a work trip to Paris yesterday after 24 hours, through 3 countries on 8 trains, 3 buses, 2 ferries and 1 Taxi.
But i did get to see the white cliffs of Dover! This was taken on a Sea France ferry, surrounded by many screaming children.
On the way to Calais, we feared that all the ferries were booked up for days but luckily we had no problem getting one when we arrived.
Very happy to be home, so many people still stranded in travel chaos across Europe. Sparing a thought for them today.
This is my third day of shooting snow sports since the late 90's (but that was with film). This time I got to take Sketchy's D100 and my Sigma 28-70mm 1:2.8-4D. It's a little tricky, but I managed to employ the circular polarizer as well (some of the shots came out better than others).

Okay in all seriousness I've decided that I'm gonna start posting photostories with my Monster High gang (note that not all of my gang are in this photo, these are just the MAIN main characters!) I'm looking at starting after Christmas, so keep your eye's peeled for teasers!
After coming down from the tree, the bear cam through these branches and into the clearing where I was standing. A nervous and exciting moment.
