A hot day in our back garden and a white-plumed honeyeater heads towards our birdbath for a cooling drink.
This is how you break in a new truck. Within a week of purchase I was out having some 4 WD fun near Benson, Arizona.
The groin, or entrance to the river and marina was busy with various forms of water craft coming home, perhaps understanding that the storm, whilst still not imminent, wasn't too far away. I'm sure you have to have be careful of all the various distractions on the water. The light had changed too, becoming duller.
This was one of those magical evenings where everything came together. We had some colorful clouds at sunset, some nice wave action along with some beautiful light. What a wonderful show it was!

As 172345 and 172006 depart Bordesley with 2V02 Stratford-upon-Avon to Worcester Forgate Street, 82309 leads 1H35 Stourbridge Junction to London Marylebone out of Birmingham, with HVO 68014 pushing.
The WMR service was one of a handful of services to stop at the unloved Birmingham station, in order to provide extra capacity for fans travelling to Birmingham City vs Leeds United. The Chiltern Mk3 set on the other hand had just a week left in service.
Network Rail (NR) is proposing to close the railway station at Bordesley, Birmingham, on or after 4 June 2029.
NR has developed plans to increase the capacity and connectivity of the Midlands Regional Rail network by providing more services into Birmingham’s Moor Street and Snow Hill stations.
This means 2 new elevated connecting tracks (chords) are required to connect the lines on the existing Bordesley viaduct from Birmingham’s Snow Hill and Moor Street stations to the Camp Hill line.
The junction for the chords will be located in the space Bordesley station occupies. To construct the new chords, Bordesley station must be closed and removed.
Unsympathetic mum just stood waiting with camera ready! I had to move the papers waiting for recycling when I saw which way she was going!
We went for a little night excursion yesterday. We climbed 1100 feet above I90 at exit 38 for a bit of exercise and a chance to shoot long exposures. Tinkham Road exit is the triangular area in the upper frame; McClellan Butte is across the highway on the right side of frame. Eastbound traffic is the right lane.
Unfortunately there was not a lot of traffic to make the trails more visible, but it was a great evening. We hiked out a little over an hour in the dark and made it back home about 11pm.
