You won't see this Christmas Crib any more in Saint Ignatius Church, Preston.
When you look up close at the figures they are a bit worse for wear, and in the Saint Ignatius Newsletter, published last Sunday, there was an item that said:
"CRIB FIGURES: We have now been able to buy new Crib Figures which will be in place during the Christmas Season. Thank you for the generosity of Peggy Metcalfe who has donated the Mary figure in memory of her husband Ted, Alice Breakall who has donated the Joseph figure in memory of her husband Tim. Dorothy Smith who has donated the Shepherds and an anonymous donation of £350.00."
Evan and Elsa, dancing in front of the tree on Christmas morning. I think Carmen encouraged them to do it.
Unlike across the river, it seems the citizens of Penwortham are getting into the Christmas spirit. I gave up taking pictures after four houses...
This woven paper christmas heart, saying the words "merry christmas" in Danish, is made by my friend Gaute as a present for me.
Need I say, that this one is going to be a clasic on the trees to come? I have never seen such intricate heart - the strips of paper are TWO MILLIMETRES wide...
I admire his skill and not least his patience... and I will be taking extra care of this extra special heart!

We had a rare snow / ice storm in North Texas last December which gave me a rare opportunity to take a few photos in some white stuff. These are a few of the images I captured that day. I hope you enjoy them - and I wish you a Very Merry Christmas Season.
turkey in oven, veggies prepped. last chance for a slurp of gingerbread coffee, bits and crumbs off the fruit cake and a breather before the mayhem of cooking christmas tea.
Our Christmas tree has moved a bit this year. I wish everyone in the Flickr universe a joyous Christmas season (or whatever holiday, or holidays you celebrate)!

The Christmas greetings are starting to come in. I have noticed over the year that fewer people are sending them due to the cost. I get some virtual ones too. I love them all, but I especially like the one with the little cabin on it. It's actually a copy of an original painting by Pres. Jimmy Carter. He and Roseline send me a card every Christmas :)
Christmas 2017 in Catford: I’m such a dutiful hausfrau! Pal got me the pink vacuum cleaner of my dreams for Christmas.
