This is typical Christmas Cactus (schlumbergera) that has been grown in a house. Commercially grown cactus will have more blooms; however home grown Christmas Cactus are still very spectacular.

This plant sites on a window sill in the kitchen. The white background was created by placing 2 sheets of wax paper on the window. Adobe Elements was used to remove the seam in the wax paper. Two flash units were used, one on each side, to reduce the effects of shadows.

This is the old barn at the place we get our Christmas trees each year. I looked like a tourist running around taking photos! LOL
I do not know how it is in other countries, but here in Brazil we celebrate Christmas with a dinner which a main meal is roast turkey, farofa, peach, figs and nuts.

I did this turkey with mass of wheat, salt and water, was painted with makeup and finished with nail polish.
