The day after Christmas. Sure, I went to work. I was not only the only one in the office, I was the only one in the building. Hey, what's 6" of snow? Yeah, she's old. But she's 100% dependable and easy on gas.
The 26th annual Community Christmas program for the Riverbend community in Illinois collected 19,252 items for those in need during the holiday season. The program, sponsored by United Way's Southwest Illinois Division and The Telegraph, wrapped up on Thursday, December 10, when more than 100 boxes were picked up from local businesses, dropped off at a central location, and then were sorted for distribution to the 17 recipient agencies. Items donated included non-perishable food, clothes, winter weather necessities like gloves, hats and scarves, blankets, towels, baby care items, hygiene items, and new toys. Community Christmas helps more than 6,000 people in need every year.

Taken with my first Kodak Brownie Starmatic. It had a flash attachment, which always way overlit the shot.
This is me. I had received a nice dictionary for Christmas.

Christmas in the 1950s. A few years ago, I was able to buy that exact same model house. My mother had given mine away later. Boy did I wish I could have fit into my brother's little pedal convertible. Black and white doesn't do the tree justice. They were always so pretty with the room lights off :) That's a little doll suitcase on the floor. I imagine that little doll house was a much better deal back then, than it was on E-bay all those years later!! And I see my toy iron! That actually plugged in and got very warm. I had a wooden ironing board too, so cute.

Mom did the "random" tree this year, as opposed to the seashore theme or candy cane tree, which coordinate lights, decorations, and even wrapping paper.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks to anyone who has even as little as stopped by my page this year. Means so much.
Have a good day!

Rockefeller Christmas tree is one of the most beautiful Christmas trees from around the world. It's the main attraction during the Christmas vacations, featured in many movies and shows as well.
Completed on: 14th December, 2009
A seasonal MOC, made for a contest at Comunidade 0937.
It's a cottage decorated for Christmas. Created using basic bricks and tiles, it's one of my rare buildings.
It was a big effort to create such a thing. My parts collection is oriented to the creation of vehicles, not houses.
Also it doesn't have minifigs, although it is minifig scale. The contest rules would not allow it. Besides, my minifigs are mostly city workers, mechanics and race car drivers.
Inspiration came from many photos and postcards I found on Google.
I wish I could put a V8 and some big tires in there... :D

An estate sale today yielded all this stuff! Christmas galore, vintage children's books,a delicate miniature set of nesting baskets with lids, and more! They didn't have the Christmas ornaments out yet so I was the first to get a go. I LOVE Christmas stuff! My favourites are the international doll ornaments and the 10" Holt Howard feathery angel.
My first proper attempt at Christmas dinner for the family festive gathering. Not that much of a big deal, as I do a roast most weekends at some point anyway. But I did go a little bit crazy, seeing as it was a special occasion. It looks like a lot, but they were very small plates...honest.
