The Great Christmas Canoodle 2013

My childhood home in Wichita Falls, Texas, decorated for Christmas in 1958.

The candle in the window and the snowman were made by my parents. My mom traced them on plywood and my dad cut them out. Then my mom painted them and added glitter. My dad worked at a carpet store. The candle stick is made from the cardboard spool inside a roll of carpet.

As you can tell by the picture, generally we didn't have a white Christmas.

Christmas Cheer Chore

There are two things I don't like about Christmas.

The first is that Christmastime ends.

The second is writing Christmas cards! It's such a chore. I hate doing it.

Can't we switch to Christmas emails? It would save a lot of paper (and time).

But at least I'm one day ahead of last year! Take note the date.
