i spent most of the morning in my garden with this little robin. he is very tame and doesn't really mind hovering next to my hand and taking a bit of bread. he won't land on my hand though.

It was a cold search for an outdoor Christmas tree to photograph last night, but with the Christmas tunes on the radio and good company, it was sure fun :)
Christmas Portraits of two sisters.
Two yn-560II speedlights, both on light stands and shot through white 44in umbrellas, trigged by an on camera nikon sb-800. One light was above and behind me and one was to the right.
While Nao and I were eating Christmas dinner at the Punjab , as is our xmas tradition, my mum was getting outside of THIS!
People know by now that I'm going to look to see what kind of fun socks they are wearing for the Holiday ..LOL!!!

This was the second time that we visited the traditional Christmas Market ("Weihnachtsmarkt") in the town of Bremen, Germany, and it was just as wonderful as the first time.

The bright, colourful, sprawling market covers several blocks and this photo shows a just small part of it, with the Bremen Town Hall ("Rathaus") in the background. It was built between 1405-1410 and is the only European town hall of the late Middle Ages that has never been destroyed. It is marked as a World Heritage Site.
For this christmas cards I used brown paper and pages from an old book. Then I decorated them with golden stars and cute bambis.

The giant Christmas tree in the centre of O'Connell Street, now in 2017 sidelined towards North Earl Street due to the northbound LUAS tracks.

At a chalet in Golden British Columbia - a rather dear way to get that Sears Portrait Studio backdrop.
This is me at Christmas time in the early '70s. I'm in my grandma's living room. This picture is special for several reasons.
First: that needle point pillow was made by my aunt and it's now sitting on a couch in that very room, although not the same couch. In fact, the room is now very Hollywood Bogart. But that pillow is still there.
Second: that chair. That orange velvet chair. Originally there were two of them and one ended up in my first apartment after college, minus the plastic. I did a colored pencil drawing of my cat lounging in it. That was the coolest chair ever. Well, almost the coolest. The coolest is the Aunt Jeanne genie chair.
Third: the outfit. I still wear overalls. I'm actually wearing a pair right now. And -- the shoes. Saddle shoes. I have two pairs of saddle shoes. I was married in saddle shoes. Saddle shoes rock.

I was given a beautiful bunch of lilies for Christmas. They were in bud when I got them but now after a few days they are opening beautifully. I thought I'd share them with you and use them for my 112 in 2012 for gift. For me there's not many things I value more than flowers so to give me a gift of flowers is wonderful.
As I was busy before Christmas with other things, I'm catching up now shooting festive images :D
