It's been 4 years since I last woke up in my own bed on Christmas morning and opened presents under the tree. Today was a wonderful morning with my little family. :)

I still have to work this afternoon, but at least we had this morning!

Mackenzie enjoys the carolers on the piano

After a long Christmas meal at Paul Bocuse, I was dropped off by taxi at the centre de ville and took a nice long stroll along the rue de Republique to the Soane, where I took this picture of the tree of flowers with the festive ferris wheel rising in the background.

I crossed the bridge and made my way to Part Dieu to catch the TGV back to Paris. Altogether, it was a special Christmas.
