My Christmas cake using my new cutters bought at the cake show and inspired by the cake they had on display promoting the cutters. I love the cats and look forward to using them on lots of different cakes.
This year I did Christmas photos of my sets of sisters. So here is Leah and Maddie! I don't have nearly enough of these two together.

The Hervey bay lifesavers daily Beach report for Christmas day 2014
Hervey bay/ˈhɑrvi ˈbeɪ/ is a city in Queensland, Australia. The city is situated approximately 290 kilometres (180 mi) or 3½ hours highway drive north of the state capital, Brisbane. It is a natural bay between the Queensland mainland and nearby Fraser Island. The local economy relies on tourism which is based primarily around whale watching in Platypus Bay to the North, access to Fraser Island, accessible recreational fishing and boating and the natural north facing, calm beaches with wide undeveloped foreshore zones.
At the 2011 Australian Census the city recorded a population of 76,403.[1] Hervey Bay is an area of high population growth...
Climate
Hervey Bay has a mild climate with an average 30 °C (86 °F) in summer and 22 °C (72 °F) in winter. The coast is predominantly affected by the south east trade winds throughout the summer with occasional strong northerly winds and storm swells. These winds keep the temperatures down in summer and up in winter, preventing temperature extremes. As a result, Hervey Bay rarely experiences temperatures over 35 °C (95 °F) in summer or under 5 °C (41 °F) in winter.

Cyclones are a threat at times with Cyclone Hamish threatening in 2009 as a Category 5. The land mass of Fraser Island significantly affects the pattern of weather in Hervey Bay and protects the immediate marine environment from open ocean storm effects. Cyclone Oswald in 2013 caused significant damage in the area, mainly as a result of tornadoes spawned by the system. The average rainfall for the year is around 1,100 millimetres (43 in). December to March is the main rainy period, with a secondary peak in May and June. The months of April and from July to November are generally dry and sunny.
Whale watching
Hervey Bay is the whale watching capital of Australia, with humpback whales migrating along the coast between April and October every year. Researchers at the Oceania Project conducted a 14 year study which found the bay was an important social hub for humpback whales.[15] Whale number have increased from about 2,000 in 1992, to around 7,000 in 2005.[15] Hervey Bay is the resting place for Humpback whales, Mum's and Calves, they come to the Bay to rest and build up energy for their long travels back to Antarctica. The Adults come to play, socialise and there have been heat runs observed in the Bay. The Humpback Whales are known to be very relaxed in the company of the whale watching vessels.

Mr Chiots and I are HUGE fans of Christmas music. We have an extensive collection with 492 songs on our playlist, yeah that's right 492 different Christmas songs on our iPod. Our tastes vary quite a bit, we have everything from traditional blue grass, and George Strait, to Elvis, Johnny Mathis, and other classics. We also have some rock versions and of course no Christmas music collection is complete without Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas. I have some very talented friends that came out with a small Christmas album last year that we love as well, check it out Ellery Christmas.
I think my all time favorite Christmas song is O Come All Ye Faithful by Sara Evans with Suzy Snowflake by Rosemary Clooney (listen to it on YouTube) and Blue Christmas by Elvis coming in a close second. We have an old Bluegrass Christmas CD that you can't find any more that's our all-time favorite when it comes to entire albums.
CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait — Soldiers from the 1st Theater Sustainment Command and the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) participated in various social and spiritual activities to celebrate the holiday season.
On Christmas Eve hundreds of service members, Department of Defense civilians and contractors gathered at a hangar decked out for the holidays. Put together by 1st TSC and 143d ESC Soldiers along with the helping hands of Morale, Welfare and Recreation employees, the event included a buffet dinner, a visit from St. Nicholas and a secret Santa gift exchange in front of a Christmas tree. Several Soldiers and civilians demonstrated their singing or dancing skills on stage during a “Camp Arifjan’s Got Talent” show judged by members of the 143d ESC’s junior enlisted ranks.
Though the celebration generated much laughter and applause from the lively crowd, some Soldiers preferred to spend Christmas Eve at a more solemn venue.
Chaplains and chaplain assistants deployed to Camp Arifjan hosted a Christmas Eve vigil at the post chapel that evening. The nondenominational Christian service wove scripture readings and traditional Christmas carols before the congregation brought the service to its climax as it illuminated the chapel with hundreds of lit candles.
The celebration continued the next day with a 5k run and a Christmas feast served by the 1st TSC and 143d ESC’s senior leadership at Camp Arifjan’s Dining Facilities. The 143d ESC also hosted a barbecue lunch as well as various sporting activities such as volleyball and cornhole.

Christmas may have just recently ended, but since I'm finding myself very much still in the Holiday spirit, I've decided to keep posting my Holiday themed pictures until New Years. That's when the tree comes down, and the Christmas season traditionally comes to a close. So, please bear with me for just a few more days as I slowly wind down from my favorite time of the year.
This is a detail shot from one of the windows at Macy's department store at Herald Square in Manhattan.
We celebrated Christmas in 2004 with our son, Bryce in Bad Sobernheim, Germany.
He was stationed in Germany with the Army from 1998 to 2008.
