It was an unusual sight. Between a tree and a graveyard, there was a clothesline, as I sat and drank tea with an elderly woman one afternoon in late December. "Things change", she said. "Things change."
Christmas at time for good will to all.
As Ian Anderson put in in 1970 "The bloody church of England through chains of history has left its earthy presence at the vicarage for tea. How the world has moved on. Merry Christmas from the Ian Anderson Christmas concert at St John the Evangelist church Oxford England
Ok, I know Christmas is officially over but I had planned on making this when I saw Paul Hollywood making it on the Great British bake off Christmas special. I didn't have a chance to do it over christmas so decided to do it today as I had a turkey joint in the freezer which I needed to use as well as having some frozen cranberries.
When I got home from mums I walked into a nice tidy house, M had popped over to surprise me and put the hoover round and done the dishes, it was a lovely surprise as I was dreading doing those jobs and getting the pie done. But with that done I left the girls and M in the front room watching Despicable Me 2 while I cracked on, it was actually really easy to make even though I was scared of making the hot pastry.
Glad to say the pie was a success and really was delicious.

Taken Christmas morning here in Goldsboro, NC. It was a glorious sunrise. This image really doesn't do it justice.

Christmas markets on Dublin's Saint Stephens Green. This is something of a new tradition, started off in recent years by "farmers markets " at holiday times & with huge footfall along Stephens Green stretching from the shopping centre to Kildare Street, most of the wooden cabins are now open for business.
Christmas in the late 1940s to early 1950s. From left are Ray Post (he's holding the giant bottle); my dad, Jack Milton; my mom, Barbara Milton; my mom's Aunt Laura (she was married to Ray at the time); and my grandmother, Martha. My grandfather is probably behind the camera lens.

Merry Christmas for everyone. :-)
Yeah, so, I got my new 30d :D This is definitely NOT the first picture taken, but, nonetheless, it is the one I've chosen to post. Sorry if it's ugly, but my cousin (who assisted me with lighting for this, among other shots) is driving me insane to get off the computer, and refuses to let me look at my other images or further correct this one in CS2.
Hope you like. I know I sure loved that shutter sound :P
Goooood times.
