The Christmas bear arrived last night

Peter and Oleg were allowed to visit him today

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

So Peter...you have behaved nicely over the past year.

That's what I heard from Oleg and Mummy Marian.

PETER:

Yyyes Mister ....eh...I mean...Sir...er...Chrristmas Bear.

CHRISTMAS BEAR;

You have a long wish list Peter. Why do you want a lot of tutus?

PETER:

Well...um...I like to dance you know....and then with my very best friend Scout who lives in Australia. And ...and there also lives my dear princess Rosie your highness.

For every dance I need a different colour tutu. My favourite colour is pink.

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

And you would like to have a choo-choo train made of wood isn't it Peter?

PETER:

Oh yes...I would love to have that choo-choo train.

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

I'll see what I can give you.

PETER: (gives christmas bear a kiss on the cheek)

Thank you so much...I am so happy to have seen you...I promise to keep behaving nicely Mr christmas bear.

OLEG:

Peter!!!! What are you doing! You're kissing the Christmas bear, that's not decent!

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

It doesn't matter Oleg..let Peter give me a snuffly bear kiss.

Little bears need a lot of love.

By the way Oleg...you are so kind and good to Peter.

You will be rewarded at Christmas.

OLEG:

Thank you Chrismas Bear

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

I have to say goodbye to you now.

In a few days I will leave for your friends in Australia.

PETER:

Wow....how exciting.

Scout, Rosie, Paddy, Daddy and everybear are waiting for you.

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

Once the presents have arrived, don't unwrap them until Christmas Eve...promise?

PETER:

Promised!!!

OLEG:

I'm keeping an eye on Peter dear Christmas Bear

CHRISTMAS BEAR:

Thank you Oleg!

Christmas Candy Cane Poem about Jesus

Look at the Candy Cane

What do you see?

Stripes that are red

Like the blood shed for me

White is for my Savior

Who’s sinless and pure!

“J” is for Jesus My Lord, that’s for sure!

Turn it around

And a staff you will see

Jesus my shepherd

Was born for Me!

Taken from the Internet.

Je vous souhaite un joyeux Noël *

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas *

I was playing with an interesting process for this Pano. I shot 10 vertical groups of 30 images, total 300 images. I did this using my intervalometer to fire off 30 shots for each of the 10 segments of the Pano. Why might you ask? It is just my nature to experiment and play with technology. Anyway, I was interested in a pseudo "long exposure" effect for cloud movement. without shooting an actual long exposure. This works well when its bright and sunny and you just can't get a long exposure, even with a ND filter. The wind was blowing, and the clouds were moving in the distance. By shooting 30 shots continuous one after another I captured the clouds in a slightly different position due to their movement with each shot. Then back in Photoshop there is a process called (Smart Object Stack mode, mean) where you load all your images as layers in Photoshop. then you convert all 30 into a single Smart Object. then you use the Stack Mode and select mean. Photoshop processes them all together into a single image rendering the different cloud positions as a fluid movement as if it was a single long exposure. I did this for each of the 10 segments.

If you look at the Sky, it has movement, but the mountains are sharp. I shot these at 1/400th of a sec. (This is not a Photoshop or AI blur effect)

Ok,Ok, so much for my lesson for the day.

it´s the night before Christmas

not a creature moves or stirs

all is quiet and asleep but

the sound of a sleigh is heard.

Dashing through the sky

comes Santa and his reindeer

carrying with him my wishes for you

for joy, laughter and good cheer.

Its the night of Christmas eve

time to have faith and believe

and to wish a dear friend like you

a holly, jolly and merry time too.

To your world ... light...

to your heart ... warmth...

to your soul ... joy...

May this Christmas bless

you and your loved ones

with all that is beautiful and pure

...Never end a wish

without whispering ..."I believe"...

... and make the new year * 2020 *

your dream - come - true - year...

Take good care all of you...

Lola's Closet

Christmas lights flicker in the stillness,

casting shadows that dance on empty streets.

The air holds its breath,

a quiet pause between moments.

Voices drift on the wind,

fragile threads of connection.

In the glow of this season,

hope waits to be found.

Merry Christmas to all!

May your hearts be warm,

your homes filled with joy,

and your days touched by peace.

My ornaments have come out of their hiding spot in the attic once again and are waiting for their time in the spotlight. Traditionally in Austria, the tree does not get decorated until the late afternoon or evening of the 24th. The "Christkind", the Christ Child, brings the presents, not Father Christmas or Santa. We will read the story of christmas from the bible, light the candles on the tree and then sing the most famous Austrian Christmas song, Silent Night. If you don't know the story of the song, it is a nice one. Here is a clip at a church which has a similar celebration to the one here in my town.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas, full of love from my family to yours.

"Christmas is a telling, time-wondering time. Wonder enough about it, and you'll know, and you'll tell me about it..."

I am working on making a Christmas card, for which I am using these red/green strawberries.. I waited for some light in these dark days…. 🎄🎄

I #love #naturallighting !

I went out to look at Christmas lights last night on Christmas Eve and was pretty amazed at this house. They had an elaborate LED light display that was programmed to be in time with music that was being played on a local radio station. You could tune into the radio in your car and watch the lights change to the beat of the music. It was a pretty cool experience. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
