Kuitpo, South Australia
The weather was no good, so I got very few decent shots. Always another time!
My favorite Christmas card this year, from the collection of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, Scotland
The message reads ~With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year~.
And I wish that to all my Flickr friends, a very happy holiday season, with love and peace to all, and here's to seeing you in 2019!
The previous day's eastbound Empire Builder rolled through about an hour ahead of this Christmas day scheduled eastbound Builder. Nothing special about this train other than it's Christmas day passengers traveling by rail, as it should be.

Conwy Castle and The Tubular Railway Bridge,
over Afon Conwy, North Wales.
Built by Robert Stephenson between 1846 and 1850.
This carries the North Wales Coast railway line across Afon Conwy
between Llandudno Junction and the town of Conwy.
Conwy bridge has been reinforced by extra columns under the bridge into the river but is otherwise virtually unchanged since it was built.

Looking out of my Mom's window at the pretty Christmas decorations & lights! Best Wishes to you all my vfriends =)
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and many thanks for all your visits and wonderful comments throughout the year.
I will be taking a break until after Christmas.
My tradition is to buy at least one Christmas decoration per year. I’ve got decorations that are decades old and no room for them all. I rotate them, it’s only fair.
"Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I′ll give it to someone special

I'd like to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas/Holiday Season wherever you are in this big ole crazy world we live in. I'll see you all back here in 2023 until then stay safe and well my flickr friends.
Capture of this old ceramic tree that I inherited from my Dad's mom, which was a gift from a great aunt a long time ago. Always nice to have this back out and on display for the holidays.
Centered it here in a dark room on a black table.
A Benedictine and Brandy, the perfect drink for this time of year. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and wonderful Holiday Season!
This is one of my Christmas tree decorations, a gift from a colleague who visited Australia some years ago although she may have bought it in Hawaii on her way home.
Friends & family think our tree decorations are quite naff but we love them as they are what we have bought on our travels or received as gifts.
This one reminded me of a Flickr friend who spends many of his hours in a canoe on Horsepen Bayou in Texas. He's having a hard time at the moment so I hope this brings a smile to his face.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!". All of our decorations are up as we inch closer to Christmas! I bought a pack of these red bulbs back in my college days for my small tree in my dorm room, I still have them to this day and hang them every year!
There's nothing like drinking hot chocolate next to a cozy fire...
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
Lyman
Bokeh balls pumped up into a pop-art style... Fun!
I blew the dust off my 35mm f/1.8G lens that I hadn't used in ages, went out into the snowy winter night, and captured some out of focus images of Christmas lights on the evergreen bushes.
This is the colorful result. Enjoy :)
GIANT RED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS ON 6TH AVENUE
The display first appeared decades ago and has since become one of the most beloved holiday decorations in New York City. Every year, tourists and locals gather here for photos, creating one of the most Instagrammable Christmas spots in Manhattan. If you want the best shots, visit after dark when the reflections glow against the water.

🎄🎁 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄☃️
This is one of several angels which are the symbols of the Christmas market at Ludwigsburg. They are huge and as their wings are illuminated they look spectacular at night but they are also quite impressive in daylight.
PETER: (riding a tricycle)
Hi Oleg!
OLEG: (sits relaxed on the sofa)
Oh...Hello Peter!
Huh...why are you on a tricycle when you have a bicycle?
And.... what's hanging behind the tricycle...it makes quite a noise.
PETER:
Christmas baubles
OLEG: (indignantly)
Christmas baubles?
PETER:
I don't think the Christmas tree looks festive yet. It needs more coloured baubles .
That's why I borrowed the tricycle from Big Sister Maileg to transport the baubles. I hung them behind the tricycle so I can pull them
It's easier than with my bike.
OLEG:
I think the Christmas tree looks nice enough.
But if you think there should be more coloured baubles then you should.
I wonder how the balls get to the tree. In pieces I'm afraid
PETER:
You're acting weird again Oleg.
Macro Mondays 'celebration' theme.
We put our Christmas tree up yesterday, getting into the festive mood. This image shows part of a glittery garland that I bought a few years ago.
The image measures about 2" in width
The weekend before last my parents and I drove to a place in the neighboring town which is full of christmas roses. Unfortunately I felt pretty bad because I was at a party the day before, but nevertheless I took some pictures of these wonderful flowers, where I really like this one due to the nice bokeh which seems to cover the flower. Hope you like it!
Merry Christmas !

Christmas in the Philippines
Pasko ng Pilipinas
Christmas, in Tagalog: Pasko, is by far the most important celebrations day of the Philippines, months before the 25th of december, preparations start. The malls, houses, streets, churches, well, everything is decorated with the most beautiful christmas lights and colours. In the Philippines, Pasko, is not only about celebrating with family and loved ones, there it is also about sharing.
The picture was taken in a restaurant in Candelaria , Quezon , Philippines
We miss you Philippines!
Just because Christmas is over for another year doesn't mean you can't still indulge a little! A few days off work mean there's time to make many many batches of delicious mince pies — you simply can't beat the taste you get when you bake them yourself — the mincemeat *needs* to overflow and caramelise making a sticky gorgeous treat! They're topped with grated marzipan which toasts in the oven and goes all crunchy and almondy and sweet!
