After Christmas lunch, snuck out to try and get some shots of birds at the feeder. Nothing happening really, but this hawk flew over so took a quick pic. Haven't had time to check out my friends photos so will catch up soon. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas day. :-)

The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" for the 27th of December is "festive lighting". This year for Christmas a dear friend gave me some lovely glass ornaments for my Christmas tree, including one of Big Ben. I decided to highlight it by surrounding it with colourful Christmas lights given to me by another, very dear friend, last Christmas. Together I think they make for a striking image. I hope you like my choice of subject for this week's them, and that it makes you smile.
As this is the last "Looking Close on Friday" before the New Year, I should just like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in the group a very happy New Year. May the year ahead be filled with happiness and joy for you all.
Am so lucky to see a double rainbow on Christmas Day (25th Dec 2020) while traveling in a Grab on Yishun Dam.

This is one of my Christmas tree decorations, a gift from a colleague who visited Australia some years ago although she may have bought it in Hawaii on her way home.
Friends & family think our tree decorations are quite naff but we love them as they are what we have bought on our travels or received as gifts.
This one reminded me of a Flickr friend who spends many of his hours in a canoe on Horsepen Bayou in Texas. He's having a hard time at the moment so I hope this brings a smile to his face.
