This plant, depending where do you live, changes names and is also known as a Thanksgiving cactus in the States or as May flower (Flor de Maio) in Brazil, a home country of the native Schlumbergera cactus species from which many indoor cultivars in the Northern hemisphere are originated.

Tonight in Sydney.
Cremorne Point Reserve.
Photographed at about 8.30pm this evening.
Wednesday, 25th December, 2024.
I have really only just returned from the harbour, and processed a couple of the sunset captures.
So today we went to Gladesville for the Christmas lunch with my sister. Always interesting. She is the boss of the world, lol.
After this ordeal I went to the chilled vibe of Cremorne Point where tonight's sunset was sparkling.
This is the view from along the Cremorne Reserve Walkway, just near the historic 1920s Maccallum Seawater Pool.
There is NO added saturation to this image. It is what it is. A summer sunset in Sydney. The sky tonight was a medley of yellow, orange, blue and purple. It became VERY orange later than this image, but I lost the clarity on the city buildings due to 'noise', and so I am not posting those images.
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro by NCH software.
Another crocheted creation from the talented hands of The Niqui is this Christmas Snowman Cat, set among our bright and colourful Christmas decorations.

Holiday Bokeh - Macro Monday theme of the week. A little Christmas Cactus with a little Christmas bokeh. Cactus was placed in front of a small fiber optic christmas tree.
Pretty papers all wrapped with care.
Ribbons and tinsel fill the trees and air.
Everyone gathered together to spread some cheer.
Sending love to those who's hearts are dear.
End of the year coming to a close.
Naughty or nice, friend or foe?
Christmas time is the season.
Everyone have a great holiday and please remember the reason.
My adventures continue with my friend, Charles. We went to this year's Rose Festival in Thomasville, GA. This rose was part of the royal family. Some things, some people, stand out and you just know how special and rare they are. I hope each of you have a warm and lovely holiday season. Thank you for your continued support. I appreciate your presence. Merry Christmas!

Christmas isn’t about giving or receiving presents—it’s about God’s presence in our lives.
The message of Christmas is simple yet life-changing: “You shall call His name Emmanuel, which means ‘God with us’” (Matthew 1:23).
.
Wishing Everyone Lots of Christmas Wishes and Kisses this year.
Love, Erin & Riley

I think it is funny how Cardinals are often related to Christmas, I don't see them often, but Christmas 2024 I saw this very cooperative friend. He sat there for a long time and just let me snap away.
May you have the gladness of Christmas
which is hope.
The spirit of Christmas
which is peace.
The heart of Christmas
which is love.
Best wishes to all for a joyous holiday season.
