Leeds is a wealthy city, and there are, in the centre, many arcades that you can walk through to get from one main street to the next.
They each show off their decorations each year in different styles!
They are stunning all year but extra for the festive season!
Have a happy day and thank you for viewing, M, (*_*)

Apologies for being rather quiet. I'm in a new job and it's not leaving me much time for much else. Hope everyone is well. :)
"The Adelaide Christmas Pageant is a parade held annually in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It is the largest event of its kind in the world, attracting crowds of over 400,000 and televised to millions more. Recognised as an heritage icon,[1] the pageant is a state institution and is sponsored by six local credit unions.
Beginning in 1933, the pageant is staged in early November every year, usually on a Saturday morning. It comprises a procession of 75 sets and 1,700 volunteers, including 57 floats, 15 bands, 164 clowns, dancing groups, and walking performers, all culminating in the arrival of Father Christmas.[2]
The parade takes place in the city-centre, along a 3.35 kilometre route which commences on King William Street and concludes on North Terrace outside Rundle Mall, wherefrom Father Christmas proceeds to the Magic Cave in the David Jones department store. Wishing all my Flickr friends a Merry Christmas and Happy holiday. Thank you for all of your Fav's and comments.
I was playing with an interesting process for this Pano. I shot 10 vertical groups of 30 images, total 300 images. I did this using my intervalometer to fire off 30 shots for each of the 10 segments of the Pano. Why might you ask? It is just my nature to experiment and play with technology. Anyway, I was interested in a pseudo "long exposure" effect for cloud movement. without shooting an actual long exposure. This works well when its bright and sunny and you just can't get a long exposure, even with a ND filter. The wind was blowing, and the clouds were moving in the distance. By shooting 30 shots continuous one after another I captured the clouds in a slightly different position due to their movement with each shot. Then back in Photoshop there is a process called (Smart Object Stack mode, mean) where you load all your images as layers in Photoshop. then you convert all 30 into a single Smart Object. then you use the Stack Mode and select mean. Photoshop processes them all together into a single image rendering the different cloud positions as a fluid movement as if it was a single long exposure. I did this for each of the 10 segments.
If you look at the Sky, it has movement, but the mountains are sharp. I shot these at 1/400th of a sec. (This is not a Photoshop or AI blur effect)
Ok,Ok, so much for my lesson for the day.
Looks like Christmas hurled on Ciampi. Happy Holidays to you all!

Christmas is just around the corner and the festive cheer is greatly felt in the neighbourhood and city. Will be taking a few weeks off to spend time with my family and travelling in a week's time. Here's wishing all my Flickr friends Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for your beautiful friendship and kind support.

Christmas is a summery time here in Melbourne with many of us going down to the beach, wining and dining in many seaside cafes. So here is a montage of the tinsel stars found in Williamstown along with a soft toy character decorating the window of one of the cafes. Happy Christmas to you all and here's hoping we can catch up for more photography in the coming year.
An excellent theme Beverely but I must admit to only starting to feel really Christmassy closer to the date
wish a wonderful Christmas Time
We waited all through the year
For the day to appear
When we could be together in harmony
You know the time will come
Peace on earth for everyone
And we can live forever in a world where we are free
Let it shine for you and me
There's something about Christmas time
Something about Christmas time
That makes you wish it was Christmas everyday
To see the joy in the children's eyes
The way that the old folks smile
Says that Christmas will never go away
We're all as one tonight
Makes no difference if you're black or white
'cause we can sing together in harmony ...............

Christmas lights flicker in the stillness,
casting shadows that dance on empty streets.
The air holds its breath,
a quiet pause between moments.
Voices drift on the wind,
fragile threads of connection.
In the glow of this season,
hope waits to be found.
Merry Christmas to all!
May your hearts be warm,
your homes filled with joy,
and your days touched by peace.

My Christmas card to you is a further slide on a slide that I have previously posted (see below). In this case, I changed the colour of the sign and put my own greeting on there. I am posting it a wee bit early because it also suits Slider Sunday.

I love to bake, and Christmas is a good excuse! The nuts and chocolate are ingredients ready for pistachio nut, dark chocolate and sea salt cookies.

I am working on making a Christmas card, for which I am using these red/green strawberries.. I waited for some light in these dark days…. 🎄🎄
