We celebrated Christmas 2007 at our home in Richmond, Virginia.
Our little Ohio granddaughter, Viola, loved messing with the presents under our 'Norwegian' Christmas tree.
A happy little elf reading a thrilling tale :) while on break
Strobist Info: Single flash used, Pentax 540fgz on a Cactus trigger above zoomed to 58mm and on 1/64 power.
This was taken using an old 50mm prime lens which is fully manual. I had it on f/2. I made a star shaped cutout on black card stock and held that in front of the lens to get the star shaped bokeh.
Merry Christmas 2010 everyone!

christmas is over? so what!
skye still loves her christmas tree headband thingy (actually it's mine i let her borrow it).
oh wait, i'm just kidding... she does not love it at all.
when i put it on her, she acted like she was being scolded and tortured (which i can understand... i never thought i'd put clothes on my dog). she remained still though. she moved slightly and there wasn't a lot of lighting, but the photo still came out okay. she was the only weimaraner of our pack that i could trust to wear it. the others wouldn't be able to keep this thing on for 10 minutes like she did.

We put our Christmas tree up yesterday so I had to take the obligatory 50mm rack-the-focus bokeh shot of the lights. I’m sure this won’t be my last shot of this type this season.
Snow, snow, oh glorious snow! Thank goodness for a white Christmas! Not a lot of snow but enough to go sleading. ; - ) zoom zoom zoom........
