This beautiful restored Victorian home in Galveston is the Isaac Heffron house and was built in 1867. Kay and I found this gem while "light looking" and it is the most charming Christmas house I have seen in a long time. View large to see Santa peeking through the window!

We celebrated Christmas 2003 with our son, Brian, and his new wife, Megan, at our home in Richmond, VA.
This is one of the gifts that my son, Bryce, sent me from Germany.
This is part of an elaborate display from a past Victorian Vine Street Showcase event in Paso Robles. It occurs on a Saturday night before Christmas. Vine Street is closed to vehicles for several blocks. All the houses on those blocks are decorated and lighted.
Snacks and hot beverages are given away at some houses. Some houses have musicians or dancers. Sometimes there is an ice sculptor working. Sometimes there is a snow slide. The two biggest attractions are Scrooge's house and the Grinch's house.
This is a family event. People stroll the street taking in the sights and sounds, stoppng to listen to music or grab coffee or hot cider. Some haul children in wagons. I will be adding new photos from this event in my Christmas album.

christmas lights and shopping spree at oxford street london, one of the craziest shopping places in the world. i was there last weekend to do some shoe shopping. i enjoyed the cold wind, the lights and christmas atmosphere.

I used many effects on this like...uh...cross process and winterize.
I LOVE the focus though.
~I can't wait...25 days!
Just sharing one of the Christmas cards I made this year.
I used the pretty decorative ornament that I'd won in Greta's scramble - thanks again, Greta! After stamping the ornament in dye ink, I used a quickie glue pen to add clear glitter to it and silver glitter to the topper.
Hero Arts supplies:
CG226: decorative ornament
K5242: big pine bough
S5448: starry sky

Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts. No matter how we may dread the rush, the long Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given - when Christmas Day comes there is still the same warm feeling we had as children, the same warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes. ~Joan Winmill Brown
Merry Christmas to all my Flickr friends. I hope that you and your families and friends enjoy your celebrations.
Thank-you so much for your support, encouragement and constructive criticism in 2014, and for the enjoyment and inspiration that your images bring me.
Go on. You know you want to.
~But, it's a Christmas decoration and you weren't going to take one this week.
Yes I know, but it's so shiny and it's got cool splashes of red on it.
~Yes, but it's a DECORATION. There's lots of other things you could take

Happy Holidays!
My daughter’s Christmas presents 😊 I am trying this year to have a low waste low carbon Christmas by gifting preloved and vintage as well as new gifts. I also thought I would try my hand at Furoshiki (Japanese scarf wrapping). I used actual scarves rather than the squares of fabric especially designed for this purpose so my wrapping techniques are somewhat ‘creative’! I also made some pretty tags printed on recycled paper and re-used some Lindor clear acrylic ‘balls’ which originally came filled with Lindt Lindor chocolates, that I have collected over the years.
