Wishing everyone that their Christmas wishes should come true. Eva is wishing for the gingerbread cookies being rolled out on the counter.
This of course was before the cookies were iced by my 4 year old son, who came down with rip roaring gastroenteritis a few hours later. The cookies are now a little less desirable.
I have many nieces and nephews... and I really like to give them all a little gift or something at Christmas. They're aged between 1 and 20... so I often have to do a lot of thinking ;).
This one goes to Liina who just had her 15th birthday!
Smoke and steam swirling around the light-festooned festive Watercress Line train at Alresford station.
This Christmas lights zoom shot is just for fun. I caught this shot at the Mormon Temple Christmas exhibit just outside Washington, DC. I have driven by the temple lots of times, but this is the first time I stopped for photos. Very colorful!
We are blessed with lots of early snow this year and with more on the way. It is forecast to snow tomorrow, again on Friday, and then again on Christmas Day. Not happy about the Christmas Day snow because of those who will be traveling to visit friends and relatives. Spent over an hour this morning blowing snow off the driveway so my kids and grandkids will have a place to park off the main road.
This photo is one of my granddaughters making a snowman!
Branden's children holding their gifts from our Norwegian cousins for Christmas 2004.
They were living at Fort Knox, KY.
I generally do not shoot Panos for two reasons- One, I dont know how to shoot them, and secondly, I lack the right equipment. For once, I broke my own rule and shot a 2 shot Pano with my newly acquired tripod head. Although it took me a while to process this image and it did involve a lot of work with perspective correction, I did enjoy the post processing workflow. Hope you like the image.
This is the main Christmas market in Dusseldorf, which begins at the "Rathaus" or the town hall. It also houses the tallest christmas tree in Dusseldorf.

Christmas Eve Dinner & Christmas, 2021
Christmas Eve sushi and lobster dinner; my birthday cake with Shannon's cookies; my birthmas card from mom on the tree with Santa; a White Christmas; Shannon enjoying her cookie and celebrating her 2nd Christmas with us, plus Happy 3rd Birthday! (we're sharing bithdays); and my chili pepper gift for her, which she managed to tear a piece off already 🎄
Christmas Alley in i-City. Managed to capture this last night. I like this because of the flash from the visitor going at the same time I took the picture.

A poinsettia, flowers to make an arrangement, underneath: big oranges and other goodies, at this time of the year a common trolley at the supermarket...
Have a glorious day and thank you, M, (*_*)

Last night me and a couple friends drove out to Spruce Meadows around 9 pm to take a lovely stroll and check out the amazing Christmas Lights on display; everywhere you walked there were beautifully lit up Christmas trees and wonderful light displays!
It was a cold, cold night but we walked briskly and drank plenty of hot chocolate, so it was a really nice way to take my mind off the stresses of yesterday (Beefy is calmly awaiting his results; the saddest thing about the whole situation is that is in no pain and is still acting completely normally, he just has that big lump....it's so sad...) and get myself ready to sleep when I got back home.
Have a wonderful Saturday, my friends, and please keep Beefy in your thoughts and prayers!
Christmas Eve Fireworks are as regular an event as we we can make them. Some years they are more extensive than others, but we generally manage at least a quick round of fire & sparks.

Until one feels the spirit of Christmas, there is no Christmas. All else is outward display--so much tinsel and decorations. For it isn't the holly, it isn't the snow. It isn't the tree not the firelight's glow. It's the warmth that comes to the hearts of men when the Christmas spirit returns again. ~Unknown
Dale is about as real as it gets for Santa.
He does many events during the Holidays as a Santa for Hire. Every Year he does the Christmas Party at my wifes work, and this year I did all the Santa pictures for the kids. (133 kids) The kids all got VERY nice presents from Santa, and a free picture with Santa. He has been doing their Christmas party for many years, and he also worked at my wifes company for over 25 years before retiring. He is a great guy, perfect Santa, and incredible with the kids. They all think he is the real Santa. No fake beards and cheesy Santa suits here. In fact he reminds me very much of the Coka Cola Santa.

From another Christmas without snow (as most usual here in western Norway).
We had a really cosy Christmas Eve last night, and now enjoy the silence of Christmas Day. We enjoy the day by ourselves at home, making a delicious Christmas dinner.
Merry Christmas everyone!

This is the mirror over the fireplace in our living room. I was rather full of cold when we got the decorations down from the loft, so I was happy to let Tim get all creative for Christmas!
Yesterday our new neighbors invited our whole family over to show us how to make Tamales. Continuing the customs of their heritage, they cook these each year at Christmas time. They are a lot of work, but Ooh Soo Delicious. Mmmm! Well worth the effort.
