Slap a Santa hat on any animal and it becomes a Christmas decoration! Here's a polar bear, a cute T-Rex, an owl, a racoon and a couple of dogs (I think).
Seen at the Christmas display at the local museum.
Trees in the mansion are decorated by various businesses and the decorations in each room have a different theme. Some of the decorations were a bit over the top this year, but I thought this tree was quite pretty.
The little doll/sanrio display I do in my room... Also, I am endlessly amused by the fact the Disney ears fit the alpacasso. I will need to get more photos of that.
These are some more little decorations on my Christmas tree. I added an action to the first photo, but I am not sure whether I prefer the original shot - what is your opinion.
Five more photos from Christmas Day. After lunch, Matt and Sophie came round. They didn't stay too long as Matt had a bad cold, but we did have a drawing game on our iPads, which made us laugh! Sophie is holding a toy carrot, if you're wondering! it's a present for their cat.
A Christmas Quilt (20" x 35") for my SSCS partner, inspired by this quilt: www.flickr.com/photos/purlbee/4149178612/in/faves-1029569.... Instead of piecing the blocks, I appliqued the trees and added a house and a stars block. I used linen for the
background.

Merry Christmas from my Christmas angels! Max hates the reindeer anthlers as much as he loves my granddaughter Madison. For her attention, he was willing to wear the anthlers just long enough for this picture. My mischievous angel below, Kassie, was willing to wear the Santa hat in hopes of a Christmas treat--she'll do anything for food!

Christmas cactus
Sorry, gang -- I'll be ignoring everybody and posting & running until after company leaves for the holidays. Have a fabulous Christmas/holiday/whatever you observe {grin}!
Since 1966 I have always tried to take a few photos on Christmas Day, years ago it would have been a pleasant walk unless it was inclement, then a camera would've been pushed through the window. This year we had a powerful sunrise, a splendid display of Altocumulus clouds and a 'Moon Bow' after dark. The surrounding clouds looked a bit like the dust pillar you see in NASA photos of our galaxy.
It's Christmas time, which means that Sinatra comes out of her yearly hibernation to snap a Christmas photo for all of my Flickr friends.

On a side note, I feel like I nailed the lighting for this shot! Maybe it was the white paper giving me a white balance, but dang! Dis' gurl looks fine!
Christmas Eve, Sante Fe, NM.
Santa Fe is particularly joyful during the holidays. On Christmas Eve, the festivities take on a luminous look with impressive ‘farolito' displays. Farolitos, which literally means ‘little fire’, are made of a candle set on some sand inside a brown paper bag.

Something very simple from today, while decorating the christmas tree.
the past days have been very blissful, We went to the botanical gardens of Helsinki on monday with my little sister and that was such a pretty place i need to go there again to shoot!
Anyways, Just wanted to wish you amazing people of flickr a Merry Christmas!
:) I'll head my grandparent's place in the countryside for few days so expect some photos soon!
Yesterday was a day of hanging tinsel and lights, baking Christmas cakes (my daughter Katie's design) and brownies - absolutely delicious and spending time with my brother, his son and daughter and my great niece. What a lovely day and there is still more to come...

I just wanted to say thankyou to all my flickr friends and flickr visitors for all your amazing support during a very challenging year for me and my family.
As work takes up so much of my time my pictures have slowed down again and I haven't really got too many festive ones but I got this from a walk the other night along Eastbourne seafront, it has a christmas tree in yeehaa.
Unfortunantly I'm working right up to christmas eve 'LATE' :( but I'm off christmas day and boxing day so will be trying to get some new pictures to post.
I hope santa brings you all some fantastic camera goodies I know I have some coming :)
I will try and post something christmas day so you can all list what santa bought you under my picture.

Yesterday we finally put up the christmas tree and all the glitter and ornaments. We have "inherited" some old ones from grandparents and I just love them. It feels so special to hang an old and delicate ornament that has been in the family for a long time in the christmas tree.
Made #92 on explore, yay! :)

Here is my upload for today, another lovely set of Christmas lights from our 2013 visit a few days ago to the amazing Airdrie Festival of Lights; here you can see four skiers and a lovely evergreen tree, swooshing their way down the slope.

I wanted to do a spicy Christmas shoot with snow, elves, latex and Reindeer but its sunny and hot down here in South Africa and the Reindeer weren't keen on wearing the latex so I opted for this :)

It took the bether part of the afternoon, but I love the result. Every year I build a christmas village. Each year I expand in a way. This year I added the streetlights.
I love the whole feel this village adds to our christmas decoration.
