'Tis the season, if not its season: a Christmas poinsettia, in-house and dramatic. Not a flower, but close enough.

Finally my Christmas cards are here!!!
You really believe that someone could buy these cards?
Maybe is a good idea to sell them? How much would you pay for one?.
Actually they were created for my family but who knows. What do you think?
This Christmas Cookie is baked for the Eurobricks Xmas Raffle 2015.
This year the MOC theme of the raffle is 'Your ideal Christmas tree'. I like Christmas trees, but I like the edible ones even more! This cookie is extremely crunchy and is decorated with icing and candy. Just the way I like it.

Lyrics:
Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing the baby awakes
The dawn of salvation beginning to break
I love Thee Lord Jesus oh gift from above
The King of the heavens forever with us
I worship You Jesus for all of my days
The highest of praises be unto Your name
My God and my Savior my King and my Friend
Yours is the glory forever amen
Yours is the glory forever amen
Yours is the glory forever amen

The last Christmas sunrise of the decade. Didn't get out the door to catch the actual sunrise, but did like the colors from the front yard.

Just because Christmas is over for another year doesn't mean you can't still indulge a little! A few days off work mean there's time to make many many batches of delicious mince pies — you simply can't beat the taste you get when you bake them yourself — the mincemeat *needs* to overflow and caramelise making a sticky gorgeous treat!

Douglas was named a city as part of the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in May 2022, one of eight communities in the British Isles to receive the honour.

I like to upload a photo of our Christmas living room each year, as I enjoy looking back over the years to see which tree and decorations we used. This is the calm before the storm (ie, it was tidy back then!!)
Last Wednesday we had a Christmas theme day at the school where I work. Me and another teacher was in the arts classroom, helping the kids to make Christmas ornaments of different kinds. I managed to make one of my own too, it's kind of sweet don't you think :)
Ps. I had to shoot this outside, because the light is so weak now in December. Even my prime lens with 1.4 aperture which is usually really good to shoot with indoors without using the flash, can't really find any light to capture. I have to set the ISO to 800 or more and that makes for such grainy shots with a wide aperture. What's the use of bokeh if it's all noisy, I say :) I'm so longing for the return of light...
Made #18 in explore, yay :)
