Christmas is always marked by the health crisis which redoubles its efforts at the end of the year to spoil our existence.
Once again, caution is in order and before reuniting with their family for Christmas Eve, everyone (vaccinated or not) is invited to be tested. And barrier gestures must of course be scrupulously respected.
Unfortunately, it is still impossible to let go completely !!!
Despite everything, let's do against bad luck with a good heart: yes, the situation is shitty, but there are still reasons to be amazed ...

Oxford Circus to be precise! Christmas lights in London always catch the eye, this was just a quick shot on the fly but may return this week to take some more.
It’s Christmas Eve and today the “Champion of Christmas” is revealed.
This year the honor and the burden goes to the valiant Wookiee Warrior known as Snowbacca.
Many are the duties of the Champion of Christmas and only the most exceptional individuals are appointed to the office.
They are the Guardians of the Festive Seasons, the defenders of its very spirit.
The brave Snowbacca is up the task and no would-be Christmas wrecker shall escape the sight of his Snow-caster.
It can also work as a real Bowcaster, in case he runs into some evil being intended to harm the innocents.
On Snowbacca’s watch evil shall not ruin Christmas.
I plan to post a "Christmas Special" photo (I already took it and I have to complete the editing) but in case I run into some delay I want to wish you a wonderful Christmas :)

There must be two conditions for this motif: it must be Advent or Christmas time, otherwise there is no Christmas tree in front of the church and there must be snow because of the Christmas mood.
Both at the same time is unfortunately not always to be found in our latitudes and this year was also the Advent season quite short. So when it had snowed heavily on the 28th of December and thawing was forecasted for the time after, I decided to take the opportunity. At half past two at night I left for the morning blue hour in Berchtesgaden. At the time, I was fortunate enough to be alone in this place. Some time later, in daylight, the place was besieged by whole groups of people ...
The Christmas light setup in downtown Chicago was also beautiful. It really adds a nice tough to the city life.

In town for the start of Christmas Prelude. What a wonderful weekend. Sometimes it's good to get away from the big city festivities.

A single christmas tree stands where they would be full of shacks for the Annual German market. Surreal when you know how it would be at this time of year. I prefer the clutter as this alternative is too stark.

This is the third year in a row I've done a shot like this at christmas, and it was actually this kind of shot in 2005 that got me interested in "art" photography. Hooray!
