The last of my seasonal offerings, as we managed to get a good fire blazing yesterday. Just taking these three photos over a couple of minutes I realise that the flames are constantly changing – often more interesting to look at than the TV... Toasting his chest on the left is a hare, not made of bronze as he pretends but actually fibreglass.

me: with you? so far no.

rabbit: in Norway, they call a person like that a potato,... because you can cook potatoes with anything,...

me: that's surprisingly deep.

rabbit: you can call me your potato friend.

me: you'd have to get fatter for that.

rabbit: then you wouldn't find me sexy,...

rabbit: you look like a potato sometimes.

me: I'm sure I do.

rabbit:i miss your potato-ness.

My normal Christmas breakfast - a waffle, fruit and sausage with lots of freshly ground Colombian coffee.

Since everyone's gotten theirs, I can show this year's Christmas craft. Fake moss wreath with a mushroom-farming gnome. The snow is wool, of course!

Time for a brief interlude for Christmas, however strange it will be this year. As in many places, Leamington's main streets have been pedestrianised to make social distancing easier - also helpful for taking photos, too. These are lights in Regent Street.

I like to upload a photo of our Christmas living room each year, as I enjoy looking back over the years to see which tree and decorations we used. This is the calm before the storm (ie, it was tidy back then!!)
