These are teapot blocks that I made for an online swap. The patterns are from Fatcatpatterns.com This picture is a mosaic of 9 different pictures-- that's why they are all different exposures-- they're much prettier in person. ;-)
Blocked and ready to go next Christmas.

Ottawa, a capital do Canadá.
Ottawa, Canadian capital
The Centre Block (in French: Édifice du centre) is the main building of the Canadian parliamentary complex on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa, Ontario, containing the Commons and Senate chambers, as well as the offices of a number of Members of Parliament and Senators, as well as senior administration for both legislative houses. It is also the location of several ceremonial spaces, such as the Hall of Honour, the Memorial Chamber, and Confederation Hall.
Built in the Gothic Revival style, the present Centre Block is the second iteration of the building, after the first was destroyed by fire in 1916; all that remains of the original building is the Library of Parliament, at the rear of the Centre Block. Though construction began immediately after the blaze, sculpting work on the interior continued through the 1970s. One of the most recognizable buildings in Canada, the Centre Block is depicted on the Canadian $10 bill (the Library of Parliament), $20 bill (the main entrance), and the $50 bill (the Peace Tower).
What a pain to have Flickr blocked here in Dubai. Why they do this is beyond me. Religion I guess, but I can go to a supermarket here and buy pork chops.
Just glad I found a proxy to get me through to Flickr. Still a pain and it makes Flickr so slow. Uploads are going to be a pain because this small file took a while.

One of the several ice blocks (this one has a slalom) that was used for the party. This design gave the choice of beverage more contact time with the ice.

Several hundred years ago, a vessel was wrecked upon the shore at Jurby, with 3 brothers, by the name of Quayle, surviving the wreckage. When they reached safety on the shore, they got down on their knees and thanked God for their survival - promising that they would settle on land as far from the sea as they could get - the top of the Sulby valley. In 1515, the manorial roll shows no Quayles in the area, yet by the following one, Quayles resided at Ballaskelly & the Creggans, and by the turn of the century, Quayles occupied Block Eary (Eairey), Ballaskella, The Creggans, Lhergy Rhennie, Sherragh Vane and Creg Mooar.
Unusually for Manx farmers, there is no record of any of these Quayles ever combining fishing with the farming, as was usual elsewhere on the island.
For her quilt Sara provided a mariner's compass made from batiks as an inspiration. This block is "Nova" from "Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Vol. 2."
It's probably the most complicated paper-pieced block I've ever made and I can't believe that it turned out as well as it did! Paper piecing is always so magical the way it comes together perfectly at the end.
I'd love to make an entire quilt of these but that would probably take eons. One can dream, anyway.

101 VIEWS OF OSCAR WILDE'S TOMB at PERE LACHAISE, PARIS FRANCE...
Of course, ADDA has to pay homage to OSCAR WILDE while in PARIS.
Especially after meeting the great artist of the BD COMIC "DORIAN GREY" by ENRIQUE COROMINAS a Spanish BANDE DESINEE (comic /graphic art book° artist was at his show of soon to be released book DORIAN GREY by OSCAR WILDE!
the original artwork was on display AT A PARIS GALLERY and so was the artist! He was ever so chichi in a trendy plaid sports jacket and a tshirt with the image of OSCAR WILDE! "Dandyism is not dead" it read! His beautiful gal pal with her ANNIE LENNOX red hair-do provided the translations. He was here for a stop over on his way to the BD event in LAUSANNE SWITZERLAND!
We hit if off chatting and laughing about the antics of OSCAR WILDE!
As i left i told him I'd be back in a second with a surprize! Well; that held their amusement! So off i went to get the business card of the L'HOTEL on RUE BEAUX ARTS...
Oscar Wilde's room was #16 which is booked way in advance.
It has the original furnishings, including OSCARS death bed and its only 600 euros a night;;;THATS ABOUT 800 USA DOLLARS!
Oh, and don't even think it is a little hovel of a room! It has a balcony, receiving room, bedroom, and yes, even the original wallpaper remains. As Oscar Wilde's famous last uttering , "EITHER THAT WALLPAPER GOES OR I DO!." Well, those were OSCARS last words. the wallpaper stayed, Oscar did not.
I handed my new artist friends the hotel card. They were overjoyed! " We wont be able to stay there, but we will make a pilgrimage!". With that we hugged and said goodbye until later. It was a FUN ARTISTS day in PARIS
