A block of granite is cut into slices by a primary saw. These are then cut by the secondary saw with the profiles for the water channels

Introducing the 2 blocks I sewed for John for the Sew Connected 2 swap. His houses/buildings around the neighbourhood theme got me thinking about what else you'd find in the "neighbourhood". Can you guess what the big block is?
Looks like part of a wheelbarrow too!

Several historic facades along K Street were preserved while the interior of the block was demolished. When completed, the 700 Block project will contain 137 apartments and 65,000 square feet of retail.
The guys were finishing off the block on the house today. After this they will start in with the wood!
