I hand cut, painted, distressed and antiqued a set of blocks to show my love of baskets. Here they are shown in a gift tin filled with paper shred.

12" crazy quilt pieced block for a Christmas throw quilt.

I have been using the back of a carpet to pin out my blocking but it is not quite big enough for round shawls. Given our veranda is literally falling apart I figured I could use nails to hold the blocking wires without causing any noticeable damage.

Block 22

The Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal were cut off in 1968 when the building of the M62 severed the canal in three places. There is a project underway to restore the canal for navigation, eventually all the way up to Lake Windemere.

This is what strip quilt blocks look like when they aren't cute yet.
